Great and logical suggestions on using the cedar shoe trees. This is something our grandparents used to do and it got lost over the past 30 or 40 yrs. Now people whop really appreciate good leather shoes are getting them again. Thank bro, good review.

Good vibes in this video. Thanks for the review. I just got my first pair of Nick's today, and I wasn't sure about the sizing (they feel SLIGHTLY big in the heel), but I think I'm just going to stick with them and see what happens after the break in.

Good review of a good looking boot. That looks like a double stacked sole? I like the look of the raw edge. I own a few pair of Nicks and White's boots and I sand the heel stack and midsole to a light brown which makes a nice contrast.

I’ve worn packers most of my teen and adult life while working on ranches. I’m 50 now. I still have a pair from my teen years. The heel is weighted to balance a rider, as well it extends past a bit as a spur rest. If the heel was straight down the spur would be quite uncomfortable. These are horseman boots for training rank colts. I never thought these leathers would become fashionable. Strange times.

Good info ; hadn’t thought about storing on sides. Thanks for the video. Just bought Builder Pros . Size was spot on. Just went with their advise( half size smaller than Brannock) and stuck with EE.

Every construction worker in Texas wears cowboy boots. Cowboy boots have same type of tread. These to me are a way better substitute then cowboy boots. Great review!

That's a great looking boot! Basically an 8" Robert boot. Very nice though. How do you like the V-bar sole?

Those look like waxed brown flesh? If so, wax would be better than mink oil to condition. The heel height is related to the arch fit and support. Nice boots.

There’s nothing feminine about Nicks boots I have two pairs of steel toe builder pros for work and two pairs of ranger boots one in black the other in walnut nice looking boots

I could see how the packer style boots could come across as more feminine then the builder pros or more aggressive styles

Has anyone compared their Nicks sizes to their Arcteryx/New Balance sizes? Always ordered half the size down?
@borisch58942 жыл бұрын
They've recommended me to take half size down from my Nike size for boots with arch support
@TheAtticNewYork2 жыл бұрын
I went a full size down. They should feel tight when you first wear them, since they loosen a bit and break in with time.
@jca662 жыл бұрын
I wear an 11 in Nike and I have 10 and 9.5 in Nick's. The more arch in their boots the more toe room you will have so size down accordingly. Like The Attic said, they should be tight width wise at first and will conform to your foot with time but you need about a thumbs of space in from of your toes.
@ShaunWells2 жыл бұрын
They run large by a size or two. The toe box is large and doesn't rub my toes. Mine are custom fitted and they still run large.
@corneliuscrewe6772 жыл бұрын
I wear a 10 wide in New Balance and my Builder Pros are a 9.5EE. I could have actually gone down so a 9EE or maybe even a 9E, but I wanted a bit of extra room for doubling up socks or adding cushion insoles, and they have been perfect for that.

How can any man walk in high heels, loggers and shoes like that and not feel discomfort is amazing to me. Never could do that. It feels unnatural af.

@@jca66 Clearly you don’t do much in the way of actual work. What a work boot looks like shouldn’t really be an issue, and you’ve got some serious insecurities if a boot with the heel threatens your masculinity.
