Thank you Demi for the recommendation. Just bought a sample of this to test first and wow It is phenomenal. I’m new to fragrances and I like the ones that really stick out. Many colognes are just “cologne scented” to me. But I like spicebomb extreme, by the fireplace, jazz club.... and this one. Wow. It’s like earthy/floral/spicy/sweet all in one. This is a very fancy feeling fragrance.

If you’re on a budget, get Rochas Moustache EDP, not the EDT. Moustache has a 95% similarity and performance to YSL Tuxedo. I use Tuxedo for special occasions and Moustache for everyday use.

So I bought this and I really like it. I have a question though. I have a ton of fragrances and I use the same technique with with all of them. 2 sprays on my left wrist, 2 sprays on my right wrist, 2 sprays on my left neck and 2 sprays on my right neck. One day I did this technique with Tuxedo and then about an hour later got into the car with my brother and sister in law and she just freaked out. She was like “Oh my God! What is that smell?” and then she rolled down the window. So, what’s the deal? To my knowledge, nobody has ever complained to me that I wear too much cologne, but do you think that what I’m doing is too much? I’ve been doing that for years. Or does my sister in law simply not like Tuxedo?

Based on this video, I got a decant of Tuxedo and wore it to brunch with a lady that I'm very fond of. She said it smelled good, but wasn't excited about it. In fact, she said I could find better for less. We went to Ulta Beauty and she found one that she liked twice as much and cost half as much... It was Bleu de Chanel EDP. A month later I saw her again. I bought a decant of Herod to try out. I think Herod smells like a better, deeper, more developed version of Tuxedo. She said I smelled good, but maybe a little too sweet. I love both, but I'll be prioritizing picking up a bottle of Herod first. Tuxedo seems difficult to find right now anyway, but if it comes back around, I'll probably pick it up. Meanwhile, I keep hearing that Bleu de Chanel is "played out" but I love smelling it and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from people when I wear it.

Just letting you know Blue de Chanel EDP is totally different notes than Tuxedo. Based on your review, you wore Tuxodo in morning time for Brunch which is big No No. Tuxedo is a night fragnence and mostly for winter. I tried Bleu de Chanel for the first time recently and was not at all impressed. It was a nice, inoffensive, somewhat low-key fragrance, but I felt it was a bit synthetic-smelling and not standout at all. For a scent that's so highly rated, I would rather spend my money on so many other fragrances and not smell like everyone else.

I’ve not smelt YSL Tuxedo but so many folk (most!) say that Rochas Moustache EDP (not EDT) is pretty close and if so It is a very affordable alternative. I own the Rochas and really enjoy it although I don’t find performance to be that great (possibly anosmia) but at the price re-sprays are a non-issue.

Demi, love your fragrance videos. For someone with your experienced "nose" to label, a single men's fragrance as Number 1 and "the best" is very surprising. As mentioned in some of the comments below there is another men's fragrance that comes very close to YSL's Tuxedo (Rochas Moustache EDP). I would also respectfully suggest you can't really leave out of the comparison of YSL's Tuxedo without comparing it to Channel's Sycamore.

Very interesting scent. I actually got the sample to try it out. It is really good, this is an amazing fragrance. However is dosen't scream masculinity to me personally, it is on the sweeter side and Slightly feminine and masculine at the same time. Definitely reminds me of la nult de l'homme but different. This is definitely one of the sexiest scents I have ever smelt so far. Definitely a date scent though, but good recommendation, also props to YSL they make some of the best fragrances.

I'd have to disagree with your comment being that this fragrance is extremely masculine. In fact, I think it is very unisex and very much androgynous. There's a salty quality most likely from the abergris that's hard to describe. I don't get much of the leather aspect. When I think of leather, I usually think of TF Tuscan Leather which has a prominent leather smell or John Varvatos Dark Rebel

Ok, I trust you based on your amazing video. We shall see if you're correct in your assessment of Tuxedo! Update - Just got it before Christmas directly from YSL. It's a really warm fragrance and just when I don't think I can smell if, I catch it's suedey scent. It's not sweet but in a way it is - hard to describe. I like the projection as it seems to envelope you. This is a fragrance that's not in your face and follows you around like Sauvage. I really like it and my wife does too which makes it all worthwhile. Thanks Demi.

i have smelled both, moustache is maybe 70% similar, not as sexy, lacks performance. Dua tux is 85% similar

Haven’t tried this. The best fragrance I’ve put my nose on is FDB oud bleu intense. Just wish it was slightly louder. I’ll try this one soon!

Demi Demi Demi gorgeous Demi, how are you just now finding out about Tuxedo? YSL is one of my top 3 favorite houses but this one right here is str8 🔥!!! Caban is another one from that line that is also incredible. Getting back to Tuxedo, its been one of my all time faves since it's inception in 2015. If James Bond wore a fragrance this would be it, no doubt! Glad you discovered it and put it out there for those who haven't had the pleasure of smelling it. Guys, you got to get your hands on this one if you can afford the niche price tag or at least get a decant. Demi, by the way I've been watching your reviews for a couple months now and I can't even lie, you are Sexy AF which is what caught my eye in the first place and I'm not know creepy dude but just had to get that out there. Not only are you great to look at, you know your frags and I've actually bought a couple cuz of you. That just makes you even more attractive! Lol. Anyways keep doing what you're doing, you really do a great job aside from how you look but hey, it definitely doesn't hurt and I'm sure you are aware of that.
