You guys are the best! My grandfather (from outside Genoa) lived in a building at Salem and Sheafe Sts. in the early 1900s before the family moved to a farm (!) in Malden. He had so many stories about living in the North End. I bring my kids in all the time so they know their history. Thanks for all you do.

Hello! Thank you for your videos. I enjoy each and every one. My Dad grew up in the North End. When I was a youngster he would point out Mechanic Street (across from the old European Restaurant) and say that was the street I was born on. What can be said about that? It’s a very short street and hard to imagine a home there.

I grew up in the North End. My last name is Spagnuolo. ???

Interesting there are several families in the north end with that last name Spagnoulo‘s restaurant on Hanover Street is one of them and of course Richie is another one.
