My Northern Downhill Hamsterley TT Race Run

Here is my best run of the 2023 Northern Downhill Hamsterley TT. A brilliant race starting at the top of Transmission and finishing at the bottom of Nitrous. I hope this video gives you an idea of what expect in terms of the track if you decide to enter this race.
You are not allowed to ride with a camera at any Northern Downhill event. However, I was given permission to do this at this event to make this video (thank you). If you have a camera with you whilst riding you will be asked to remove it, please do not turn up with a camera on your bike or yourself.

Well, apart from all the heavy breathing, our runs had very little in common except for the same line through the rock garden in Nitrous! My finish position was at the opposite end to yours, but bear in mind I'm almost 69 yrs old! Great to see a fast run down there. My first event, normally you'll find me on the other end of the whistle.

im glad they let you use cam, it's really good to see what the events are like. i don't really understand why they ban cams, EWS riders film all there races!

@@JakeBrookesBiking I am in Teesside so Guisborough Woods, Sutton Bank and Dalby are the mainstays but Hamsterely and Whinlatter on the list

@@michaelord8084 I haven’t done much up at Dalby, Sutton bank or Whinlatter to be honest. They are all on the cards for next year 😊 I hear Guisborough has seen some forestry work that has distroyed a few sections? 😞

definatly worth the trip mate 100% , a good route is one called 'best of hamsterly' on trail forks. I'm in darlo myself so kind in between hamsterly and Guisborough, not been to guisborourh though got any recommended trails forit at all? @@michaelord8084

@@JakeBrookesBiking Guisborough is barely worth riding anymore, forestry work has absolutely decimated the place, many of the best trails no longer exist

seel that puddle on the left in the rock garden, don't go through it, your bike will stop and you wont :/ ... good run though!
