There are always 2 options of results: to win or to learn ... so no reason to be really disappointed. Just relax and start the next project.

Hope fully some time away and a good debrief with team coaches and support staff will lend to some valuable lessons learned and even stronger progress in the future. Don't be afraid to acknowledge the post Olympic let down is very real and you need to be compassionate on yourself and others, even for those who attain their goals.

Like you said, sports at the elite level can sometimes be truly crushing. Still, in my point of view, what you’ve accomplished even if it was not quite within expectation, was incredible regardless. Don’t think of yourself as any lesser for what happened. You fought like hell and didn’t quit, that’s a lot of spirit that most people wish they could have. Anyways, take your time to recover from everything that happened and stay strong dude, whatever comes up in the future I’m sure you can overcome it all. Always been and always will be a big fan 💪

nick big congrats, not the results both men and women's team were hoping for but you all tried your best. I know you said that the internal and external factors aren't too relevant, but knowing some of the people involved in the Canadian track scene and some of the local riders that compete at the national level at our track here, it sounds like those factors are truly affecting some team dynamics and causing some unnecessary stress? Maybe not on the men's side so much but nothing happens in a vacuum. Anyways hope you all get some rest, recover from the physical and mental drain and crack on! Thanks for the insight, always love seeing content like this. Curious if you guys thought about swapping positions like the Aus Mens team did?
