Love your planner, it's really cool to see someone using a different system. I also feel like I need to achieve something every day and I found the gratitude and success log very helpful!

Miranda Small Thank you! :) Ah, yes. Its definitely both a blessing and a curse, right? I feel so motivated to work on my projects every day, but I also spend at least a few hours everyday thinking I'm a failure. *_*

I loved your Key this month.. the Time dashes.. this exactly what i was looking for especially when get overwhelmed with tasks.. estamating the time is not always easy!! Thank u 4 sharing :) Have a great day

wm Sulaiman Thank you! Yeah, the time dashes have been immensely helpful in forcing me to realistically think about what I can accomplish on any given day. I think in January I will need to designate four dashes as an "all evening" event too, as sometimes three dashes don't seem to be enough. :) Thanks for watching!

I just ordered an A5 filofax and will be transitioning from my traditional bullet journal. I love your idea of approximating times for your tasks! Where did you get the dot paper for your planner? Thanks! I look forward to watching more of your planning videos :)

Lisa A Thank you! Ahh, that's so exciting! What color/style did you get? I'm hoping to get a real Filofax sometime in the future, so you'll need to let me know what you think of it. :) The time estimates have actually been really effective so far; You should try it! Physically drawing those three lines on large tasks definitely makes me recognize that it's something big to accomplish. I made and printed the dotted pages myself. I bought some 28lb A4 paper online, printed the dot pattern, and simply chopped the pages in half to make a true A5 size. I'm really pleased with the 28lb paper quality. My staedtler triplus fineliner does not bleed through at all. Unless you hold the paper up to light, you can't see anything though it, not even a faint line.

I ordered the Finsbury Raspberry A5 planner. So excited!! Did you make the dot paper or use a template online? I've been searching for templates but it looks like cutting an 8.5" x 11" will make the page too small for an A5? I'm not exactly sure on the measurements without the planner. Thanks :)

Lisa A Gorgeous! I love the color raspberry. That will be lovely. *_* I made the dot pattern myself. Its pretty simple to do: Just type out a bunch of periods and change the kerning and distance between lines. I used Photoshop, but I think you can change kerning and line height in word document programs too (might be wrong about this). I'll investigate and write a blog post on how to do it. :) Yes, standard American 8.5x11 paper will be a little different than true A5 pages. The half letter sized sheets will be just a hair taller, and about 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch shorter than an A5 page when in the planner, if I am remembering correctly.

what kind of ring binder are you using? I am having the same situation where I love my bullet journal but I want a ring binder.

I'm using a Webster's Pages Color Crush A5 planner: websterspages.com/color-crush-personal-planners/a5-planners/a5-white-planner-kit.html When I bought it several months ago, the websterspages.com official site was only selling them to wholesalers, so I had to purchase mine from a third party site that sold them. I bought mine from an etsy seller. :)

looking forward to seeing how things develop for you. You sound so busy--do you spend time with your new husband? I don't want an answer, I just couldn't help but wonder.
@NElizabeth8 жыл бұрын
Pat.S.S Hahaha, no worries! I know you didn't want an answer, but your comment made me smile so I just couldn't resist responding. :) Despite being very busy, we do still make sure to spend time together every day. Our one year anniversary is coming up in January, and we're still as happy as can be!

NElizabeth I didn't want you to think I was being critical. I knew it was possible he was deployed overseas and you were keeping super busy to fill the time and sock away some money in the meantime!! My daughter's husband was scheduled to deploy within their first yr of marriage and I know she would have been looking for time-fillers! As it worked out, he broke his foot about 4 weeks before his unit deployed and he couldn't go! Oh darn! He got a job at the Armory at a pay grade above his rank so that worked out nicely too! Best wishes to you both and I subbed your page!
