You have to compare it more to London or Paris pricing. NYC is an island with limited space, and everything is overpriced. It is definitely overpriced, but people will pay for it.

I do think it is a cute an apartment for someone young and single and living the NY life. The thing I would hate about living in that kind of apartment is that it has all been subdivided from a larger apartment. The walls will be paper thin with the result that you can hear everything your neighbours are doing. Sleeping in that loft space you are likely to be directly under the kitchen of the apartment above so every time they close a cupboard or out a fork in a drawer you are going to hear it. I imagine this at 6:30 in the morning or at midnight when you are trying to sleep,
@KarlSmith-p5r8 ай бұрын
You could get more for your money if you lived just a 15-20 minute walk from that location. The West Village is great but as long as you are in walking distance, there's no need to pay that kind of crazy rent. I have an 800sf one bedroom for that price that has 4 closets, a dishwasher, full size stove and fridge-freezer, a laundry room etc. and utilities are included.

@@KarlSmith-p5r There are two types of people: Those who can only give directions based on landmarks, and those that give directions using numbered highways and street names. Why is there this variation and what does it imply about that person's brain? Spatial memory is that part of the memory responsible for the recording of information about one's environment and spatial orientation. A cognitive map (also called a mental map) is a type of mental representation which serves an individual to store and recall information about the relative When I was younger, I was much better as an older now I’m getting a little faded, but I can still get around pretty much any city once I walk around and take the sites in. Before I go to a new city I will look at pictures of buildings in certain places so I know where I’m at. Now it’s been really easy since Google map happens so I don’t really get misplaced that often.
