Okay, I don't know if I'm the only one thinking this so I have to ask. Has anyone noticed that, although Bellatrix refers to Lord Voldemort in the song, Voldemort had been singing about our beloved Harry Potter the entire time? He clearly refers to the "Orphan child of James and Lily" and never one mentions Bellatrix. Honestly, I feel bad for her in this song, seeing as Bellatrix is declaring her adoration for her Lord and he's too busy plotting his enemy's death. Still, AMAZING SONG!

So I really like this song, but I have to disagree with all those people who claim that Bellatrix's insanity was due to the incest in her family. The Black Family definitely had incest, but not on Bellatrix's side of the family (at least not within the last 4 generations). Her Mother was a Rosier, her Grandmother a Crabbe, Great-Grandmother a Bulstrode, and Great-Great Grandmother a Flint. There may have been some underlying mental condition due to genetics, but incest had nothing to do with it. Rather its Sirus and Regulus (offspring of a marriage between two first cousins) who were at risk.

There should've been a 70-year old parallel to Bellatrix since we don't see any of the original Knights of Walpurgis. The point of her character would be that she's a tired and wasted husk of a person, still following all of Voldemort's orders and only really around due to her unwavering loyalty, despite her being unable to do much. She would be (from a writing standpoint) what following Voldemort turns you into, particularly women who follow him out of lust. Bellatrix wouldn't see herself in the woman though, and believe that Voldemort does care for her.
