They represent the original with strength I think. Very good harmony and horns. Guitar sounds spot on. They're fun to listen to.

Go online there is a college musician band that does a cover of this they have a guy sounds exactly Dennis Fagan and the finest young musicians I've ever seen the guitar player does a note-for-note color of skunk Baxter's great guitar work in my old school there's at least 10 talented young musicians who have been studying There Craft see if you can find it I'll try and look it up and put it on this site or at least the information. These guys do a pretty good cover but to cover Steely Dan is a tough nut to crack skunk Baxter guitar work is hard to color and feggins voice is unique but these two young collegians do a spot on cover of Fagan's singing

@@thomasrose38 I was gonna ask who the guitar player was on the original. You id'ed Skunk Baxter here. Thanks, and , in retrospect, it HAD to be him. I shoulda figured that out myself. Of course that's him....

It's extra tough to film any tribute band for Steely, since the original group usually maintained not just good players but actual hitmen in their genre. So they have to be the best possible, yet somehow even beyond. Good luck with that.

My old buddy Jim from Texas (taught me to play bass 35+ yrs ago) emailed me with a link to watch/listen to LLB this morning. Sufficed to say, I have wasted the day at work, much to my boss's outrage, listening to arguably the best covers I've ever heard. LLB leaves me sick, jealous and completely inspired! I started with Foreplay/Longtime, and after a couple of dozen tracks, ended up here with My Old School. Myself, I'm waiting for an investor to come thru with the funding that will get me to Australia, to work with an African Reggae artist on his next 2 CD's. LLB's massive skill set have set my imagination on Fire! Thanks Guys!! Cheers, Mark

2:27 to 3:35, not to take away from the vocals, but the instrumental work...wow. I love most all of your work... I have such respect for the work you all have done! I like the tonedr’s face around 4:45 where he is looking around and taking it in... his smile as what he envisioned in his mind has come to fruition is wonderful. So many in the team to thank! I think you out Steely Daned, Steely Dan.

@@tonedr I have running all over the 6 years of your recordings... Wonderful for a guy who lived the release of all these artists. And thanks for the guitar lessons to boot!. I drive thru Lexington from Maryland to Bowling Green to see family. I would love to stop in catch some of this live in the future!
