We won and the only casualty on the Mafia's side was the GF. Mafioso to GF and claimed Retri. Idk if anyone else has done that lol

I got one game where I claimed retri early and then proceeded to get roleblocked for the entirety of the match. We got consort confirmed like at day 4 and mayor revealed buy they never listened to me that I was being rbed, they keeped lynching other players and misslynched once or twice. In the end I died and couldn't revive anyone, and the last mafia to die was the promoted consort. We only won because we had an escort and mayor was still alive only because of this. Dead chat was salty af.

Yeah I was once a jailor with no current leads on who maf was, 2 maf were dead already in a ranked game, so my logic was to execute the confirmed exe to keep the balance of votes in favour of town, exe got really salty and said "it's stupid to kill exe, you're a bad jailor, I was gonna help town" etc.

I think retri should only be able revive after getting hanged. To redeem themselves from being lynched they bring back another town role. Change their results to framer, jester, or ret. Give vampire to medium and janitor

That's. . .a nice idea, actually. If it's a "only if you're lynched" power, like the jester, then evils are much more likely to hunt down a Ret before they can be hanged. Ret would also want to be hanged, so they'd probably try jester plays (which can backfire). It also means they're useless if NK or Mafia gets to them first. Though Town would want Ret on standby to revive a dead townie, if they have an important enough possible threat, they'll have to weigh the revive against the threat, which can leave town too divided to get either done. It would also depend on if Ret has to use their revive on the night after they were lynched. This alone might work as a nerf if it was just "Ret has to die in order to revive" because then it's a trade-off and it can't just be saved until someone important gets killed. Better yet, make Ret a Neutral Chaos that can only revive Neutral, cleaned, or stoned roles. Would Ret still be powerful? Yes, but encountering them would be a lot less common, and people might actually want to be Ret.

I always liked the idea of an alive ret reviving their chosen target with their life. So reviving kills them. Cause what I have a feeling will happen if a ret can only revive if they are lynched then can revive any time after that. Rets on first day of voting will immediately out themselves in town heavy games, like ranked, to get a guaranteed revive. Now if it had the nerf that they can only revive on the night they died then that would work

Ret's true power is not just bringing back someone so they can use their role but also confirming at least two people at the same time. Having a confirmed townie is usually better than an unconfirmed sherrif, invest or whatever role, because they are a guaranteed vote for town
