Hello and welcome! Hope you are having a great start to your week :) Coming up in the next weeks I have more Shabbat prep vlogs like this as well as the q and a videos, a try on of everything in my closet (with links!), and Thanksgiving and Hanukkah fun! What are you most looking forward to?

I have a q/a topic for you but I'm not sure where to ask it. Could you share some information about an orthodox Jewish perspective of monthly women's cycles? Do you still go to synagogue, do you go to the mikva after each, do you have to have separate beds and chairs? That might be too weird to ask I'm sorry if it is. It is portrayed a certain way in the media and I want to learn an accurate portrayal

Chana, I wanted to thank you. My entire life, I've owned vacuum cleaners with cords, my most recent being my beloved Dyson Animal that was a Mother's Day gift many years ago. Watching you happily zooming all over your beautiful home with your cordless vac made me so jealous! It's become difficult for me now to run a heavy corded vacuum cleaner around our house, so.... for my birthday last month, I asked my husband for a cordless Dyson! And he got one for me, and I LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much for putting the idea in my head - you've made my life so much easier. All of your little tips and tricks for cleaning and shopping, etc., are a huge help for many of us. Keep doing what you're doing -- you put so much light into the world.

There was no electricity in my building (we're locked down) today. It was like the apocalypse had started, everyone was so agitated and anxious and lost lmao. I thought about how you observe shabbat every week, with no internet etc, and how you find joy and meaning in it, and it completely changed how I approached the day, and in the end it was really peaceful, fun experience, with everyone actually talking to each other.

Tip on muddy 🐾 paws: Keep a box of kiddo wipes for paws - I realise your dog is quite large but they can be trained to wait and lift paws for you one atta time to give a quick wipe. My daddy had a beloved Airedale, and he was disabled with his back, so he let him out on a lead that was in the yard and kept the end that hooked to him at the door- so on muddy days, he just kept old clothing/cloths near the door and had trained him to lift a paw up one atta time to keep him from having to bend over and struggle. ;) “Are you making the little circle ⭕️ brownies?!” 🥰Kiddo after my own 💓- more surface area for delicious corners because a circle is ALL CORNERS!

Thank you for another beautiful video. Your kids are great! Kombucha is a lacto-fermented drink made from tea so I think probably every variety has caffeine in it. If you want to enjoy the benefits of lactofermentation without caffeine you could try water or milk kefir or foods such as sauerkraut or kimchi. Lacto-fermentation really improved my health and resolved some health issues within a week. Lacto-fermentation is very easy to do at home if you have the time and you can makes things to your own preferences. I learned it from KZbin videos and I spend 5 minutes each day making milk kefir and have a continuous supply for only the price of the milk. I bought my first kefir grains a few years ago for £3 from eBay and I've never had to buy more. If you ever want to try lactofermentation, you would need different grains to make water kefir than milk kefir. For kombucha you would need a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) and you may be able to make it with decaffeinated tea but I don't make kombucha so I don't know. Kefir grains are also a type of SCOBY and have no grain products in them like wheat, oats etc.

I’m sure the new toilet paper holder is inviting to the kids to just pull and pull. You could try putting a fun color of painters tape on the wall under the holder where you would like them to pull it down to. For example measure down to four squares length and place tape there.

That’s a great idea! I was thinking I just thinking I wouldn’t put tp in there unless we had guests 😂😂😂

Your house is looking great! Will you be doing a proper tour and going over types of fixtures, flooring, countertops, etc? I am planning some renovations and would like some more information on some of your selections. Thanks!

I do plan to do a full home tour but I don’t know that I’d know where all the fixtures etc are from, but I’m happy to answer questions if I know the answer :)

Chana, your home was already beautiful, but I know those little touches and minor additions just make it so much more enjoyable. I'm TOTALLY envious of those bookcases! Also, your sweet, adorable kids are lucky to have you for a mom. It speaks to your parenting that they're so considerate.

@@jaroffireflies I know exactly how you feel. When I moved into my current home, my books stayed packed up for almost the first year. Nearly went nuts!

Chana I have been watching your journey and life for a while now. You are so full of love and life! With sparkling eyes and such composure - even with your hear warming giggles! I have absolutely no idea how you manage three children, home school them , keep your home so immaculate AND have time to film your life! I’m 67 now and my children were good but …messy! 😂 Btw, just in case your very handy and clever husband hasn’t remembered, please make sure your beautiful bookcases are screwed to the wall to stop them toppling over! Much love to you and your family from me the English lady living in northern Portugal 🇵🇹

From one book nerd to another, congratulations on your bookshelves!! So exciting. I also love the door handles. It's the small things around the house that grate on your nerves until everything is uniform.

The house is looking FABULOUS! The choose of hardware makes such a positive impact in ones home. So wonderful your children knew which glasses to offer their guess. Shows they are welcoming to their guest 💕 Major timesaver I like to share with other dog owners, Roomba. We have two furry babies, and our Roomba is amazing at vacuuming up dog hair. They also have ones with timers.

My household also goes through a lot of yogurt. We enjoy the dannon light and fit vanilla Greek yogurt. Its such a good sweet treat, that is almost reminiscent of vanilla frosting, but with minimal sugar. Im not entirely sure if it is certified kosher or not, but it is the only brand for us!
@jaroffireflies3 жыл бұрын
SO yum! I will look into those brands :) Thanks! And you are so right, my kids only like the vanilla yogurt too, must be like frosting lol
