if that was said to me i would have just hung up right then . i would have closed all socail media sites and when i got ingauge i would not include to tell them i would have my wedding and go about my life and when they reach out to me why was they not told my reply well i didnt think you would want to attend such a borrowing wedding is how you would have seen it . after all i m not important enough to be invited to family events so i didnt think it was worth tell people about a wedding they didnt care to attend anyway and i would not want to hear about how small it was or cheap it was .so you missed it so what not like you cared anyway .then go about my life and when my child is born and they hear about it later then want to be in there grandkids life i would ask why i am just a boring simple living struglling life right why would you want to be around someone so not worthy of you company . then walk away and leave them with there jars drop.

Good story, but the narrative was choppy, detracting from the story. Also, this story could easily have been extended. I'm glad the protagonist had the epiphany, but the descriptive paragraph mentions that her life improves greatly causing her family to regret their actions, yet the narrative was too short. It could have showed her successes elsewhere being the reason, and showing the reason, that her family regrets their attitude and wants to reach out to her. An engagement party isn't enough for the family to regret. We need to see something more defined, perhaps a business award that is shown on the news, have years pass and her children being acknowledged as geniuses. You need something to stand out where the family WILL regret their past attitude of her. Also, the description refers to the protagonist as a male when iti's clearly female, you may want to edit this. Aside from this, fairly good story even if the formula was a bit generic.

Good and interesting story you did the right thing in the end having toxic parents like that is no fun. I would imagine your brother and sister are no good anyway your sister likes to be in the limelight from the sound of it anyway and your brother is just a You know I enjoyed the story though and you did the right thing. Only complaint is the artificial voice reading it kept going too quick and stumbling and that way why can’t we go back to a human reading it? 0:09
