I have PTSD, sure, I was r@p3d as a kid, around the age of six. But even with my paranoia around males, and my severe general anxiety, I would NEVER accuse either of my brothers of such a crime. Bad move. Any time anyone who knows the story sees him interacting with other children, they are going to remember the story of why he no longer interacts with his sister or her children, and there will always be that tiny sliver of doubt. Instead he should have insisted on her going to therapy for her anxiety issues that caused the problem in the first place. He could have kept sis and her kids in his life, made clear to everyone to see that it was her issues not his, made sis' life actually better by getting treatment, and even established an official paper trail to that effect if it should ever come up in the future. Instead, now people will ask "why did he run away? Did he have something to hide?" It will poison his life going forward.
