My Part time Job is TERRIFYING - The Convenience Store

In this video I play "The Convenience Store" from start to finish. This is one of my favorite horror playthroughs I've ever done! This game is super creepy and I love the graphics style a lot. There weren't even many jumpscares, which made the few that were there extremely effective! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did :D

Since I haven't seen anyone else mention it, the number 4 on the TV screen in the shack next to the manager's body was symbolic. In Japanese the kanji for the number 4: 四 has the same pronunciation as the kanji for "death": 死 (shi). Because of that, the number four is often associated with death and is considered to be unlucky, similar to the number 13 in the west.

This game did a good job of giving the player a false sense of security with the boring, everyday retail job tasks.....giving you that dangerous "comfort" zone so when the scares do hit, the tension is that much more powerful with them. GG WP Indie game Dev👍

Oh, the number 4 was on the TV with the manager's corpse and the rats. Not sure anyone told you this, but just in case. Imagine a derelict store as a map in Phasmo 🤔 thinking similar to that Mart in Fallout 3.....big enough but add more small rooms like maintenence/staff only corridors...hell imagine an old, abandoned, haunted shopping mall in Phasmo....medium to large map size (bigger than High School and Prison but slightly smaller than Asylum perhaps? I lived in Japan for 7 years. That town isn't much like Fukushima were I lived 6 of that, but it's similar to a lot of smaller rural areas. And the white spots on the guy is probably dry wall, dust, stuff like that, you see it on a lot of maintenance and construction type workers. Not usually THAT bad though. Also, people coming in to use the restroom isn't uncommon, though I tried not to do that.

As someone who worked at a gas station for awhile, checking for expired food and being bored out of your gourd is pretty normal. Also a lot of divorced families would exchange kids at our store for whatever reason. Nothing creepy ever happened unless you count people buying scratch tickets for 30 minutes on end and insisting they talk to you.
