Thank you for your feedback! :) Yeah it's been difficult for me to film in a bright location with ample light because all the bright spots in my place are full of plants. One of the reasons why I haven't filmed the non-variegated Hoya video is because I simply don't know where to film it. 😳

Hi, your peperomia collection is beautiful. My watermelon peperomia’s leaves are splitting and has some browning on its underside, any tips on taking care of it? Ty
@luvsucs52745 жыл бұрын
Watermelon peperomia needs bright light and prefers warm and humid growing environment. The soil mix needs to have good drainage. I mix regular pitting mix with perlite, worm castings and slow-released fertilizer. I did a little research on the spitting leaves and someone said that it might be because it’s Too cold? Not sure if that’s the reason in your case but try to provide it with an ideal condition and it should do well for you. Watermelon peperomia is not finicky so good luck with yours. 😉

From what I understand watermelon peperomia need calcium or their leaves start becoming deformed. I have one and it was shipped to me with deformed leaves. I am going to have to go to a garden center that only deals in plants becauae I can't find anything that feeds plants calcium. This could be your plants problem as well.

Love your pepperoni but wish you had more lights
@luvsucs52746 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! :) Yeah getting sufficient light for filmimg videos has been a real challenge for me as my plants have taken over all the bright spots in my house. I actually bought a video light on Amazon and have used it in my last two videos as supplemental lightning. For the last one it worked better because I only showed 10 plants. I hope to get this resolved as soon as possible so you can see the plants well.

Love the tour of your Peperomia’s, I have never seen such a large fabulous collection. You take such good care of them as well, so beautiful 😍 what type of soil are you using? Do you make up your own. I’m collecting all the varieties I can source locally. I haven’t had great luck with online shopping, you mentioned a few from Hirt’s, sadly the only order I received was a horrible experience. Don’t plan on ordering from them ever again. I think it has to do with who actually packs your order, plus I’m not happy they don’t individually wrap each plant. 90% of my plants came damaged & covered in mud, I literally could have squeezed a gal of water out of the plants. 😤😢. Anyways, thank you so much for sharing your amazing collection. Yes I too agree you need better lighting. The Tricolors showed much better, like you were under a window maybe. Please feature them again, maybe break them down by type or variegation 🤔. Take care 💜🌸🌺

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I truly appreciate it!!! 😊 I used to gather all the plants from different rooms for my collection videos but it was just too much work and the lighting wasn’t ideal. My plant setup has changed so hopefully the lighting is better now. I use Gardener & Bloome Organics Potting Soil for most of my indoor plants. I typically add to the soil warm castings, perlite or pumice and slow-release fertilizer when repotting my plants. Regarding Hirts, I completely agree with you and understand people’s frustration with the poor packaging. I’ve also had bad experience with them but what I like about them is that they are always prompt in replying to my emails and fixing the problems. The size of their plants, the wide selections and the prices are all reasons why I would buy from them again. Overall i’m pretty happy with Hirts. Also thank you for your feedback and suggestions. I’ll definitely keep them in mind. Happy growing! 😉🌱🌻

Loved your collection! I’m a new Peperomia collector and got my first Caperata. I’ve kept in the kitchen right by the sink and gets normal LED light from the kitchen lights. Please let me know if this would be a suitable home for it. I’m so confused 🤷♀️
@luvsucs52746 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your positive comment! 😊 honestly I’ve never used normal LED lights as the main source of light for my plants so I don’t know if they serve the same purposes as grow lights. Capersta is a relatively easy species to care for. If you give it medium/bright light and do not overwater it, it should do fine for you. Happy growing! ;)

Luv Sucs thank you so much for the reply back ! I started noticing a couple of stems were falling off and the ends were a bit soggy of those fallen ones. So I’ve moved them to a window which gets indirect but bright light from the balcony. Hopefully it doesn’t shed anymore leaves. Thank you again !

@@arpighosh2200 I learned from another channel, if u overwater pepperomias, the stems droop. I've learned to cut back on watering especially during the winter. I don't think these need bright light.
