My Petz Crazy Monkeyz Game No Longer Works

EDIT 2/3/2025: Looks like my copy is somehow working again after I did more cleaning of it in the bathroom sink.
My copy of the Petz Crazy Monkeyz Wii game from 2009 no longer works as it was partly scratched up after years of use. It throws up an error saying the game disc could not be read. Luckily, I bought a replacement from eBay. Let's hope that works.
