In the first part of my series, I will show you how I figured out how to install and trail the wire of the dashcam around the trim of the car. This will also be a semi-review of the Bestsee X9 Dash Cam that is currently the cheapest 1080p dashcam on Amazon UK with a high rating and next/same day delivery.

07:15 It also looks like the timestamp was wrong for a while, but updated itself when I connected to it through Wi-Fi. It also seems the timestamp counts its seconds too fast so goes out of sync after a while. It would be good practice to connect the dashcam to your Wi-Fi frequently to keep the timestamp as accurate as possible.

Good video 👍 what lead did you use to connect it to your USB ?

Any USB-C to USB-A cable will work fine. Mine is roughly 3m in length and I had to extend it so I recommend 4m or longer. I specifically got a right-angled one so that the cable does not obscure the windscreen.

What does it mean when the red record flashing light turns to a yellow flashing light?

Not sure, the manual doesn't say anything about that unfortunately. I guess the best way you can find out is to use the dashcam as normal and see if anything is wrong during use, otherwise ask the seller for help.

Does it need to be connected to the app all the time or just for viewing recorded clips

The app is only needed when you want to watch the dashcam live, or watch recordings, or change settings.

It depends on your purpose, I suppose. For most purposes (such as legal or casual) you can easily amplify the audio like I did for this video, but if you plan to make high quality theatrical movies or KZbin videos, then you'll want something like a GoPro anyway.
