I have been using a wood measure stick, after I do my hanging photos, I lay item flat on table measure ptp the shoulder to hem & if need inseam or rise. It's quick and works well. Love your idea of hanging items before photos and I bought a lanyard 😀

Yea, my scale was auto timing out too, and was seriously irking me (!) 😅, so what I did was make a pile of the bagged clothes I just processed, then did a bulk weighing and photo session at the end so it wouldn’t turn off. Only problem with this is that the photos are now not in order with their respective groups for each item, but it saved me time for weighing, and I do the listings anyway, so I know which item is which.

I hate working with clothes. It takes a lot of time to source, clean, measure, photograph, and list them only to have it sit in my closet. Maybe because that brand was popular but not the style, etc. At least with shoes or novelties it’s a quick snap of photos then list it!

would it be more efficient if you set your system up so you worked clockwise? ie moved the table to the side (the same direction as the clothing rack but on the other side) rather than behind you and then put the tubs for storing bagged items directly behind you. That way you would take fewer steps with each item and only be moving in one direction throughout the process, in a circular pattern.

So many great tips! Need the phone lanyard ASAP! I’ve wasted so much time looking for my phone while taking pictures, measuring and weighing items. I downloaded the FotoFuze app as well. This will be so much faster than PhotoRoom. I need to cut down on how many pictures I take in general too. I always have to delete to get to 16, then delete or use a collage to get to 12. Smh.

ok so I have the solution to the item being to long! I’m going to try to explain my “measurements method #501” && I really hope I make sense; because it works! I lay a bi or tri fold posterboard (foam core) ( White )on my table; The big part will fit the width of the table I then let the fold hang over the front of the table (like a skirt) I run a clothing tape measure ( securing it the entire length of the foamcore w clear tape) starting from the back of table on down onto to the fold thats hanging over and also up the back of it…. then when I have a longer item I just pull up that skirt and then it creates kind of a longer table; it’s workable enough to hold it up and still take your measurements even if you take photos of your measurements it’s not cumbersome it will last and this has been my method for the last few months and I haven’t changed it yet LOL I would definitely be willing to send pics!! (where??g I hope my bang up job of explaining this game changing tip helps babygirl!! ( also I use a tape measure lenth wise almost as to make a cross) XOXO Thanks for the content!!

I’m always putting down my camera then having to find it. Then I try to take a picture, realize that the cap is on, and taking it off. I’m seriously thinking about switching to my phone plus a lanyard. Would save me a ton of time. I’m also thinking about getting a makers apron to hold some of the other tools that I use in photographing a listing, like my color checker card and scissors to snip threads.

Wondering if you use a separate phone for business and personal? There are so many pictures involved with reselling and apps for the different platforms I thought it might be worth it to have a dedicated phone. What’s been your experience?

When it was just me, I just used my personal phone. Once I got employees, I now buy used phones off ebay that run off wifi only for them to use. I don't think it's necessary if you're solo but sometimes mental clarity is worth it.

We don't background remove at all anymore. We photo in the clear bag usually unless we know it's an item that will have to go in a box, then we take pic of weight w box.

Love your videos always learning something new watching it, I was wondering do you keep all the pictures in your phone, and delete it after the items sell and is accepted it, or you transfer the photos to your computer and then deleted after the item sell. Thank you for sharing with us

I upload the photos from my phone immediately onto the ebay app into a draft. Then I delete the photos.
