hi all! finally sorting through my physical tbr to show you all. Stupidly; I've realised I left off two books by mistake lol. Oh well! Let me know if you think I should prioritise any of these!

I’m studying Classics as a degree so I know quite a bit about it the Iliad, and I totally understand why you found it hard to get into it!! There are a couple sections that you can completely skip (they’re said to be there purely for the ancient audiences to relate to, so they’re repetitive and difficult without context). You can 100% completely skip Book 2 because that is an example of a chapter that is basically just for the ancient audiences to relate themselves to the main characters. Translation matters too, so you might just not be able to get along with the translation you have. Hope you enjoy it next time you read it :)

I always regretted not doing classics A level! Thank you for the tips when reading. I listened to the Emily Wilson translation as I was waiting for it to come out; I think my error was trying to listen very casually while cooking dinner/walking to work etc. I realised I actually need to focus when listening to this one! Going to try pick it up again this year hopefully.

That's why I read only one Kindle, I have 357 books, and I can't imagine having that many books on my shelves. I read quicker is more comfortable at night. I have only 67 physical books that I really love ❤ and kindle changed my reading experience for sure highly recommended if somone think to purchase one ❤

I love my kindle! Space is one of the main reason I've stopped buying books for 2024; these are stacked up on the floor in my bedroom. I read a lot more now I have my kindle!

I really enjoyed seven husbands. If anything I loved the depiction of Hollywood and the glamour of it all, it's a very easy read as well!

Totally feel you on the crappy Netflix covers - nothing's more of an ick than a film poster as the book cover, when will publishers learn? All of Atwood's books are amazing BTW, I just finished The Blind Assassin, and The Heart Goes Last has stuck with me too.

I really shouldn't have bought it tbh, I'll probably give it away once I've read it cos I hate the cover so much! I actually think I have a copy of The Blind Assassin knocking around, It's good to hear her books are amazing because I really want to delve into them! will bump up the list

Omg you read a little life?? Pleaseee tell me what you thought of it i just read it and can’t stop thinking about it. Also i also struggled reading the bell jar by sylvia plath just because of the writing.

god, a little life...it really stuck with me. I'll probably never read it again, but i agree with every single review I've read of it, good and bad! I review more in depth in my March reading wrap up for last year. I'm about halfway through the bell jar atm and it's a bit meh to me so far!
