The second chord you played is E7. It functions as a secondary dominant to A minor. So it’s essentially a V - i sound. Sounds great! Hopefully the extra context is helpful.

Great stuff Ricky! Proof that having/using a little bit of music/piano knowledge really works wonders... 7ths are great for house music/techno yet still underutilised in today's music. I always loved Crystal Waters Gypsy Woman and C&C music factory for example. FYI Fmaj7/ E7 / Amin7

This is so cool! Are you using OB? Do you have OT out to DT in for compressor? Are you routing dt back to ot or anything? Would love to know ur setup here as i have 2 synths OT and DT and trying to figure out a nice way to work :)
@RickyTinez Жыл бұрын
so for this jam I'm going Synths -> OT -> DT -> Recorder. When I'm ready to record into the DAW though I'll put OT with the synth stems/loops in its own channel on my audio interface and use OB for the Digitakt. and arrange in a DAW. But Song mode has been pretty fun to use, but its still tedious to add those one off things that happen once every 20 bars or somethings strange haha

Or at least some kind of keyboard style. For electronic music, I quantize stuff and have LFOs, lots of stuff synced. I still play it live, but that makes it so you don't have to put TOO much attention to timing with the keys. And I think it's best to have drums and a bass or lead synth sequence playing.
@RickyTinez Жыл бұрын
@@GizzyDillespee yea it's been crazy fun to play along to beats and drums that I make. It gives the humanized feeling unlike any sequencer, or settings, or swing can do.
