"My Plague”was my first introduction to Slipknot. The whole “I am just a b******d and at least I admit it” was just priceless. I watched a dvd a long time ago, for a live concert in London. I remember Sid just being in the crowd throwing punches and the fans just loving getting hit in the face lol.

Awesome. I really recommend "Snap" when you get back to Self-Titled. It's a demo track that appears on the 10th anniversary edition. It's really catchy. 🤘

There was nothing like the energy and feeling during Purity back in those days. The ending Breakdown rules and will be played on repeat at my funeral wake.

CHAOSSSSSSS. Deliscious. I remember moshing all night at this concert from Slayer and Slipknot in the beautiful city of Rotterdam in The Netherlands. Never came out more devestated out of a moshpit. Glorious times.

Managed to watch this tour in February of 2002 , was supposed to be November 2001 but due to 9/11 got moved back , I was only 9 at the time and it was the best concert I’ve ever seen !!

I did see Slipknot in 2002 and it was fantastic! The vibe was insane and they killed it. I saw them again in 2005 and got their autographs at a signing at a record store before the show. I saw them again in 2007, and then after waaaay too long a break, I saw them in 2019. Their set has changed of course as the 2002 set had lots of deep cuts on the first two albums. But they never failed to impress me live. They are a must see band.

There is a video from the house of the mask called "Sid Wilson visist The House of the Mask" And there Sid explains that this mask was a foreshadowing about COrey and Joey starting side projects where they would show their faces.

I’m always impressed with how Joey is able headbang while playing like that. I’m pretty sure Reading is pronounced Redding…it’s in England. I don’t know why they don’t spell it the other way. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I popped with how you pronounced Reading, brilliant. It's pronounced 'red-ing'. This was my first full festival, great times! Still got the photos, got through a disposable camera just for Slipknot. Seen them many times from '01 to '19, even met every member during the Iowa tour, and have a signature from each of them.

The only time(s) I saw them live was once in 2009 and then 2012 when they were doing tribute shows for Paul. While they were still good, especially the 2009 show I was at, they definitely weren't as chaotic compared to the earlier years. Although, when I saw them in 2012 at Mayhem Fest Sid was stage diving and crowd surfing. Haven't seen them since then, so don't really know what their live shows are like anymore. I wish could have seen them either during Iowa or Vol.3 era.

I was in one concert in this Era, I was 8 and it was cool. After I saw them on 2005 and I was 11, I was in one in 2008 and I was 14, after that I saw them in my home place méxico in 2014 an my 18, at the en I saw them 2022 twice in Mexico

Great suggestion, white slavery is one of those slow burn tracks but it's so good. Christmas just passed or else I'd suggest Red Water (Christmas Mourning) as well, but maybe we'll get a classic "Christmas in July" used car lot sale and have a reaction for it in the summer😁

Yes, to a Pinhead cam. He's the best thing about Slipknot, imo. I believe Reading, as in Reading, England or Reading Festival, is pronounced redding. I just read some comments mentioning Reading's pronunciation. Disregard mine, please. : )

'My Plague' was the first Slipknot song that hooked me, which was a bonus track on a Resident Evil movie dvd. got Disasterpiece a week later and been a Maggot ever since. (i had heard some of their debut album first but it was on a tinny sounding radio in a garage when i was buying weed once;)

I seen them in Tennessee in '99 and again after IOWA dropped in '03. I've been going to their concerts since self titled and still am. These were the golden years of Slipknot, but as they got older the intensity has naturally faded. Still freakin amazing, and better than 99% of bands out there today. They bring it every show.

This is a story from the early slipknot and probably nobody cares about it but if you do then enjoy the data❤ Oh man I just realized something, clown mask in this show was the fan made mask. A fan showed up wearing it in a very early show between 99 and 2000 and Shawn asked him if he could have it. They made some deal and in some shoes during the self titled era clown had a styrofoam head with that mask on Impalated. And then during some iowa shows he would wear it sometimes

Great songs, Self-Titled and Iowa always been my two favorite albums. A band I'd recommend is "Tallah." They're very modern but you'd have to find the right song to get you into them, you can't just jump in considering their weirdness/uniqueness. They take inspiration from slipknot, one song I'd recommend is "Telescope" or their cover of a song from Alladin: "Friend Like Me." Just some fun songs.

Their live shows didnt changed much since that time imo, of course they not jumping and all that(besides micheal pfaff/tortilla man) cuz they are getting old and after many injurys but they still putting one hell of a show this days

The album versions definitely sound better than the mixing for this live show. The energy at their shows is something special, but it's hard to enjoy the music with whatever the hell happened here.

Disasterpieces is there best recoded concert, I have seen them around that time and then again around 14 and the quality downgraded significantly
