If he's smart he wouldn't. Game is ass. Extremely predatory game where the decision makers obviously hate the player base. You get a free 5 star yet? Are there any top up rewards? Any endgame activities that don't take an hour and a half a month to do for terrible rewards? Extremely overrated drawn out story. People mistake occasional feels for a good story. Terrible boring dialogue. An open world that is very unrewarding. The game is just held back too much by the gacha genre. They are too greedy. I mean just look at stamina refills in genshin compared to arknights. You get less, the price goes up each time, and it's limited. I've played Mihoyo games a long time. They lost my business by showing me they dgaf if i play or not. Wish all you little kids weren't so obsessed with f2p games. They deserve to fail and it's really scary for the future of gaming that they are doing the complete opposite of failing. Short attention span, 10 minute a day gaming is the future i guess...

Genshin really has one of the best combat mechanics like elemental system where on surface it is just mix 2 element then boom but it has depth and hidden mechanics like Internal Cooldown, Elemental Gauge Theory, Dragonstrike and many more. Also a note is the early story is kinda dated and a slow burn but Side quest and item description is much fasinating

genshin gameplay is great, they only focus on elemental damage though and pure physical is basically impossible because the damage is so low. There are a few annoying things like shields are way too strong on enemies and require specific elements to counter and if your team dosnt have the right element at the time its just a slog, almost every fatui fight takes 5x longer than any other enemy group because of this. I cant stand turn based combat so star rail is not for me

Genshin is probably the only gacha game that gives you a ~25% boost in overall usability or dps even if you fully maxed out a character by spending like 5000$. Play it only while you are having fun. Once you start to feel bored and burned out, just go play something else. If you don't have the patience, it's 100% okay to stop. Genshin is not investing into end game, so being burned out is an actual thing that is affecting players. Personally, I'm only still playing it for the combat. It's the most fun part of the game, since exploring has started being gated by story content.
