As someone who used to hate Genshin because it was funny to hate on it, this game is WORTH a try and time invested. I'm genuinely so glad that I got off the hate train and experienced this game with an open mindset, especially now that I've caught up with all the Archon Quests up to Fontaine's. For a F2P exploration/gacha game, its content is really good.

@@brussailpook8213 I mean, Sucrose National gets extremely close to "the best" and it's definitely up among them. Seriously I use it in every Abyss and each time I'm disgusted by how strong it is when used well, when I'll get C6 XQ it's gonna be even stronger too. The only required constellations to make it that broken are C4 Xiangling, C2 Xingqiu and arguably C1 Bennett, you can buy all of them in the shop and the first two can be chosen during Lantern Rite. Even then, for new players there are more effective and easy teams, for example you can just pull for Nilou (who is also really cool) and you have the most broken AoE archetype in the game completely for free (Nilou can use free weapons or even the default one, it doesn't matter too much, and Barbara-DMC-Collei are free and extremely effective, the team is so good that you just need someone on deepwood and characters level to clear any AoE scenario with ease).

there are only a few really good 4* and most of them came out during 1.0 the majority of strongest supports are still 5* (like raiden, zhongli, kazhua, yelen etc) even then a lot of 4* supports don't really become any good without multiple constellations.

Vs 5* Kazuha, Baizhu, Kokomi, Nahida, Mona.... Shenhe is niche but strong. Zhongli is good but is falling off due to jsut better options but still overall best shielder in game. Jean is now getting a big buff thanks to various mechanics and Furina. Yelan and Raiden are sub dps units not supports. Otherwise Xiangling and Fischl would be supports. Literally most of the supports in game are 4* and most of the best are 4*

genshin is super time gated with resin and freemogems and even worse because of the rng with artifacts. that is assuming he goes the f2p route. if you only play for the story and exploration which is the only thing that matters in genshin he should wait till the game is finished. the combat is nice but there is no point because endgame isn't the combat

It gets its hype because of the story and the extreme juxtaposition to not only what is happening but the teaser is on the polar opposite side, and when I say teaser I do not mean what was played in this video but rather the one specifically about Furina. At face value Furina’s trailer seems quite silly. However for those that play the game it’s a giant woah and wtf(the best type of “wtf?”) So naturally from the outside looking in it makes no sense. Though it’s natural with many games/shows. It’s like not getting the significance of ‘Big Mom’ from Onepiece as well as why her personality makes her more menacing. On the outside she looks a lot more goofy especially when compared with Kaido or Katekuri.

​@@shadowmeka.5205 idk what exactly op meant but for a vague answer: let's just say that despite what's shown in the video (her ""tehee im an idiot, obnoxious and boisterous"" personality) she's been shadow pupeteering everything that's been going on behind the scenes /////spoiler\\\\\\ for a more indepth answer: fontaine has a prophecy that it's doomed to fate - that the nation of fontaine will perish under the waters. everything is in chaos in the story at this point as one by one the steps of the prophecy are coming true, but recent furina teasers are showing that despite her being the most useless character thus far in the story - she's been secretly planning to deceive fate behind the scenes. the demo shows a bunch of scenes in the story but the roles are reversed and she's been orchestrating what's been happening thus far. oh btw the swinging scene in the demo is her impersonating the other archons (Kusanali's swinging, she was holding venti's lyre, doing shogun's pose, and giving out Morax's mora)

Well, Blizzard is just one example of late stage capitalism ruining everything nice in this world. The board consisting of venture capitals want profit on a quarterly bases. You can't make good games in a quarter, so you get cash grabbing trash. Mihoyo is not a public company and is owned by literally 3 people. I think in fontaine they really stepped up their game story-wise. I don't think it will be late to play the game ever. Considering that Asmon even keeps up with Genshin news he definitely won't feel alienated. I started playing _Honkai Impact_ about... two years ago? So around Version 5.2. I got into it pretty fast. The story for Part 1 is done, Part 1.5 is about to end as well. I'd say it's still not too late to start in that game, and it has years on _Genshin_ . So no, it's not too late to start to play either of them. I don't know about _GGZ_ though, it's been around some 12 years, and has many parts. It could take a bit more effort to get into it, especially since you need a fan patch to play it in English.

@@angmar87It varies based on demand for the character, but on average it takes like 7 months for a character to rerun, worst case ever was over 500+ days but it was for a character that had a fairly low pick rate

Asmon said 4 star characters are bad, some of the best must have characters are 4 star characters. Xing-qui is debatably the best character in the game and is a 4 star character, this character has a 5 star counter part named Yelan that isn’t seen as better but equal to him. These are hydro units which farina is the god of hydro and the theory crafters aren’t sure if she is as good as the 4 star yet. Genshin is not p2w, you can pay and still have a crappy account, you can f2p and have one of the best accounts. It’s more about resource management than luck.

@@-amel-9896 if you are a day 1 player , you would know , do you remember the drought? there was no updates for so long , if you have 100% all the maps at that time ie , mondstadth and liyue , there was not much to do , then came dragonspine which was annoying with the debuff , 100% it in the end , and i am by no means a speed runner , the first golden apple archipelago was fun , then came inazuma , after watatsumi released , i was getting kinda burned out , then came the other islands , i completed the quests but never explored , then came chasm , i did the quest halfway then stopped completely , maybe ill play it again after natlan releases

@@-amel-9896 I burned out on the game even before the release of Sumeru, played by the way with quite a few breaks and eventually came to the conclusion that I just farm dungeons and bosses and in fact the game is quite boring. Inazuma wasn't very interesting, and overall everything felt kind of... So-so. So I haven't gone into it in almost two years. Things are looking pretty interesting right now, but considering I have a job coming up, I don't think there's much point in rolling back in.
