Some positive feedback: I'm a guy who loves camping, bush crafting, guns, action movies...and journaling. The world of journaling (particularly with a TN, my personal choice) is dominated by women who use the word "cute" way too much and spend more time than I can fathom decorating their journals with Japenese anime bling and a ton of scrapbooking stuff. This is fine (to a point), but NOT what I'm looking for. Thank you for actually using your journal to record thoughts, insights and stay organized. I got a lot of good ideas from your presentation. You also have a very pleasant voice. Well done!

I enjoyed your video, just now getting into the traveler’s notebook and purchased the passport about a month ago and then the full size a couple weeks after and looking for different ideas of what to use it for and how to use it. God bless you, your family and your daughter. I pray all goes well and that she can be diagnosed and hopefully healed soon. I could only imagine how your heart aches having to both watch and go through that. May the Most High bless y’all 🙏

I wonder if it shows how many times I've watched this lol. Everytime I question my planner setup I watch this for guidance. I feel like you had the same planner journey then me. I however won't purchase myself a fancy cover until I actually stick with one. I'm torn between a pocket and a standard.

I was really fascinated by your journey. I think I have followed a similar path in that bullet journaling and planners have never quite hit the mark and I am now leaning towards a hybrid. I also what to incorporate GTD. And as far as I can tell you are the only one online doing all three. But apart from that I was encouraged by how you tried different things for different seasons and you don’t seem to get frustrated when things don’t work, you seem to expect your needs to evolve. You also use whatever system you have for real and less interested in the aesthetics, your approach is so practical. To sum up I am glad I have found you.

I totally understand your annoyance with the rings. The travelers journal I found at the end of last year ($10 at Barnes and Noble) has been wonderful. I've been using it a lot more than any other planner I've had. I still have a separate refillable journal for diary entries but keeping track of my lists and todo lists has been much easier in a travelers. I have the dot journal, lined and blank books in mine (they came with the TN) and I like being able to design my own system. It's now Feb and Ive already changed my weekly layout to the system you use compared to a bunch of boxes. The flexibility makes planning a lot more fun.

Yes, the Standard Midori size is very comfortable for me too! It's not a big as the A5 and not as small as the personal size! Just the right size! And so easy to print! And not too much to cut! I'm making myself the Cousin Hobonichi in this size to use in 2019. It's my ideal planner! Thank you for the video! I enjoyed it!

I literally hide to watch your videos !! I don't want anyone to bother me lol I struggle still with the same as you , I've been messing with my regular TN ,which I haven't used in years . But it's so weird it's lighter then my other sizes. I use a ringed Filofax and it's soooo heavy to carry .. you made me decide to try the regular again and order a insert lol . I love using bullet journal and gtd method together . . I like how you kept all your notebooks over the years , I do that as well . :) thanks for sharing !!!

OMGoodness! I loved seeing this reminiscent journey. As a teacher, all my plans are at work. I seldom leave planning/journaling time for my personal life. Always trying to disconnect from structure as a wind down, now I am searching for balance at work and purpose for life, I am journaling and seeking...I too, am moving from Filofax rings to TN strings.

I do journaling and planning too. But mine are lame 😒 and I can’t make KZbin videos about them. I can’t even put them on Instagram because they aren’t neutral or appropriate because they’re for personal use. I can just show the cover. I got a happy planner a mossery planner and a archer and olive journal. Then I have the paperblanks dotted journal, I finished one it took me 4 months and I got a new one. I have a kikki k but I stopped using it years ago. Always wanted a Filofax but refuse to pay for it. I don’t have much to plan. I did when I was studying but now it’s just a couple of things I keep track of in planners. It’s very tragic because I would like to fuss more with planners but they’re just organised journals now. I’m trying to quantify the qualitative with the moon 🌒 phases and my tarot cards. One day I’ll figure it all out like sacred geometry. But for now it’s a excercise in madness. Love your work.🦋😊🔮🍀🦂🥰🗑🎃📚🧽👼🏾👼🏾🤮🐬🦉💔🥓🐞♊️🐉🦄🌝🧛♀️

Short answer: my sink has some dishes in it, and I haven't mopped in a week! But my family is happy and healthy, and so am I. Taking the time to keep and cultivate a notebook contributes immensely to my mental health and happiness. I hope everyone can find something that makes her heart happy and set aside time for it. The trick for me is to not spend extra time mindlessly looking at Instagram or buying products I don't need. And my daughter is doing great, thank you for asking!
