Long Distance Lucky Trading needs to be a thing, especially with Vivillions. In order to get that complete, we have to make friends around the world... but we can't do lucky trades with them. I've talked about this a lot here as well... but if we could list 5 things we want in a mirror trade with someone we are lucky with, that would at least make it worth the trades. You can only do 1/week, but at least it would be something. Not everyone has many local friends....

1) I'd be really careful about the extent to which the team "turf wars" are reintroduced. There were times when trainers were hostile and resentful about things like gym color because it gave us extra balls, and teams used to vie for gym control before raid hours and raid days in my area. That actually caused serious divisiveness that I'm glad has been alleviated now. It's awesome to see trainers show pride in their team, as long as we can all work together toward the common goals without any silly animosity to which the previous gym system contributed. 2) I totally agree with the "trading post" idea for long distance trades, particularly lucky trades. 3) A tiny, easy thing I'd like to see added is a visual to see if you've done your special trade already that day. I've accidentally met up with friends only to realize that I did my special trade already, and I've had that happen to me a few times, too. I get it, that's a trainer error for sure, I totally admit that. Still, a visual would help us prevent that from happening. I'm curious what other features they're working on. 4) Arceus would be great! Legends Arceus incorporates Arceus in a way that doesn't make it so overpowered as to make other pokemon irrelevant. In fact, I barely used it in that game. PoGo has an interesting opportunity to really make it more impactful in niche ways. Maybe that's what's really causing them to take their time with it? An adventure effect that changes depending on the plate used? So many things they could do with this, which leads into the next point: 5) I like your idea of creating aspects unique to Pokemon Go! Of course I don't know how difficult that is when they need to work with the Pokemon Company, but they could definitely make the case that those novelties would benefit both PoGo and the Pokemon Company. Instead of everything coming from the main games and then EVENTUALLY being added to Pokemon Go, I don't see any harm in introducing things through PoGo that could eventually make it into the upcoming main series games. Thanks for the video you've created this year! We might not agree on every little thing all the time, but I value your perspective. Happy New year in case I don't get to comment on another video before then!

I've wanted a Gym overhaul for a while now cuz the current system of teams claiming them just doesn't work anymore, as people keep taking them even when they no longer need them, kicking people out after only a few minutes, hoarding them, and it only causes frustration as it prevents others from earning coins. What they should so is akin to the Raids where a gym is randomly taken over by a Gym Leader every once in a while. The gym will change color to match the Type of the Gym Leader and now, rather then raiding, or stealing a gym from another team who just took it, you can challenge the Gym Leader and their Gym Trainers. The number of trainers, and the strength of their Pokemon, whether or not it'll be fully evolved, not to mention the amount they have, will vary based on what level the Gym is, similar to Raids. But after beating each Gym Trainer you can now challenge the Gym Leader who will be much stronger, think of as the Rocket Grunts compared to the Rocket Leaders. After defeating the Leader you are rewarded with the same items you would from a Raid, plus progress in your badge for those that care about that, as well as Pokecoins, if you havn't had the max amount that day. This way, you can earn coins from other sources then holding a Gym. Especially since there are people who have nothing better to do then kick you out of a Gym everytime you try and take it despite them having had it for well over 17 hours, which prevents you from earning any coins. This'll at least give people an alternative. The Gym leaders could ofc, be based on the ones from the Main games, as well as other promiment trainers. I think that'll be so cool.

I could actually imagine them introducing mega melmetal through pokemon go just like the did with meltan, because we are getting pokemon legends Z-A in 2025 which will most likely have new mega evolutions, so maybe Mega Melmetal could be introduced in pokemon go before that game releases

I don't like PVP bonuses for best buddies (though the CP boost is kind of like that), but I could get behind bonus candies for catching same type pokemon and reduce the distance walked to get candies. That would make it worth it. 4:16 4:17

Not just the gym battling system, but the gym system as a whole. I am sick of idiots with multiple accounts camping at gyms and claiming said gyms are “theirs”. I’ve seen these maniacs chase people who attach a gym they’re in, they’ve followed me home, made new accounts with my wife’s full name, where we work, where I’m from, etc., waited outside our building (I laughed at them, which made them even angrier), etc. I can click on gyms around me they are in and on is at 172 days. A new system should be implemented wherein all of your monsters are ejected from gyms once you reach the 50 coin equivalent in terms of time, and you get the 50 coins at midnight. No more camping, no more toxicity and potential violence, and others can get in and get their coins.

Egg bonuses where you get the hight tier hatches in half time (ticket or no) Best buddy improvements: half walking distance or guaranteed XL candy when reached best buddy.nor something with the extra hearts. Zygarde catchable in routes (Still waiting for the avatars to look good) Diversity in pvp (nerfs buffs)

Egg deletion/selection would be great, especially if we are looking for certain eggs and certain mons. I know right now the only things I really want are in 10ks... only three things in 2k (two very specific asks and Larvesta which is pretty much a specific ask), nothing in 5k... and nothing really in 7k at the moment. Of course, specials will change this for a limited time, but I would like to be able to select the eggs (either front end or back end) based on if they are desirable or not to me. So yea, that would work.

Buddy System: It would be nice if something other than 2 Heart Buddy Catch Assist was worth something. I'm not putting a Best Buddy into my Buddy Slot, even with the +1 level in a raid or otherwise. I want to advance my other mons to Best Buddy. The +1 level from Best Buddy should be permanent, even if the mon is not active as your buddy. That alone would make the grind at least more tolerable. Also, the souvenirs should be useful for something.

Gyms: I gave my thoughts a few days ago. I don't remember the "turf wars" era... but I would at least like to see where there's some more incentive to play with them. Biggest thing has to be getting platinum gyms as a base start. It's been 4 years since Platinum Medals were introduced as goals. It's about time we have Platinum Gyms.

Agreed on the Tera, even though I am unfamiliar with them. Half the fun of Megas is that you can use them in main content being a source of extra candy as well as raids. If Tera are like Dynamax/Gigantamax, it will just be another useless gimmick An exclusive Go Pokemon would be neat, as long as you don't need something outside of Go to get one. I remember back in the day it was another game on Nintendo Switch (can't remember which one off hand)... in order to get the Meltan Box. That was a pain if you don't play the outside games or have friends who do. Now it's sending a mon to Pokemon Home to get a Meltan Box. Obviously, this is less of an ordeal, but still... you need something besides Pokemon Go to get the Meltan Box. Just make it something where if you do something really noteworthy, you can get one of these as a reward. Not sure what, but at least it should be rare.

One thing not mentioned, easier access to Gimmighoul coins. Again, not all of us play the outside games (I don't remember which one it is to get the golden lure), but at least make the golden lures more accessible to Go only players like how Meltan was eventually made easier access to Go only players. Even if they are rarely given out at random as a part of the Research Breakthrough or 1/100 chance at the gym discs of your color (less on Day 7) or something else that would maintain rarity, but allow everyone a shot. I would like to evolve mine, but I am not friends with the people who have access to the Golden Lure and I can only recall seeing only a handful just out there in the wild that were not announced in a group.

Megas: Metagross will be a great add and it's about time. Mewtwo will be the last Mega to be added... that will be probably 2026 at one of the big events. I also would like to see Diancie get its first true rotation... it has not gotten a turn in raids yet and it's been 16 months since debut (and we only got 1 chance, so if yours stinks like mine...) Mythicals/other 5*: Phione (MIA), Manaphy (MIA), Arceus (MIA), Keldeo (for the rest of us who didn't pay for it). I'm still VERY salty about Sinnoh Go Fest not including Phione, Manaphy, and Arceus (at least a base version)... the Platinum Medal for the region was a hallmark of the prior Go Fests. Keldeo has been 2+ years since its Pay Research debut and we have not seen it in regular raids. There's going to be a Raid Day in February. Why not then so the Black & White Kyurem can have their weekend in the sun as well... and we can at least finish our Unova Dex at Go Fest 2025.

You can if you call up the Pokemon by name in your Pokemon list and click on the Pokemon you need to heal instead of clicking on the items and the potions...

Me and my husband are hardcore players. We have really eased up on playing this past month since go wild because the events have been trash. Locked behind eggs and raids is ridiculous. We spend money on the game as well, but we haven’t been spending any because the events haven’t been worth it. They lost us with the egg locked and simple raid locked pokemon like the alolan vulpix to complete a collection challenge. It’s stupid. Also, we started playing because of CATCHING NEW SPAWNS AND SHINYS IN THE WILD! Wild spawns are literally an afterthought now, which has really turned me and my husband off to the game. Hunting a new shiny and new pokemon in the wild is why we love to play, but here recently the wild spawns are just trash. Also locked behind incense that I’ve used constantly and not one shiny off the incense neither. It sure loves to give me caterpie, spearow and puffer though 🙄

When talk about the rewards for best buddy you do mean you get them when the Pokémon is your buddy and has the medal or just has the medal? Cause Niantic has made what little achievements you get for best buddy only happen when it is your buddy and that does not incentivize making more than one best buddy Pokémon.

@@TreFKennedy That is absolutely correct. Niantic didn't need to monetize so much with these tickets because they had what players wanted. Unlimited Remote Raids at reasonable prices. Trainers scarfed them up since it was a way to play... especially the more rural players, since they had a chance to play the raids the same as urban players. I enjoyed them since I met people from near and far and learned about their values and cultures. Now since Niantic nerfed remote raids, they need new ways to get the money they need to run the game. Instead of listening and understanding what a sizable number of players actually want, they go to these tickets which few want and these tickets give what we used to get for free. That also makes players unhappy seeing nice bonuses taken away and paywalled. If Niantic just read the room...

Pity system for shiny for raids and such because my friend did 100 raids during the Necrozma event and ended up with 2 shinys the odds were 1/10, while my mum got 5 out of 20 raids. We need guaranteed shiny odds for these reasons
