Here is the last video for the project! Aside from a few finishing touches, the shed structure is complete (finally!). I hope you enjoy the video, let me know what you think about the shed!
With this project finally out of the way, I can now start to focus more on the cabin project.
See you all again soon-ish 😊😉

Years ago, When I first began working as a carpenter, an older carpenter said to me...be careful, the sawdust will make you crazy. He laughed and did not explain. I can see now that you are in the beginning stages of sawdust euphoria. Choose carefully, I managed to arrange my life around the, how should I put it... effect on my affect... and now live with a smile and yes, I must still get sawdust almost any way I can. : ) I am glad you are having fun with it still. I enjoy your adventure into this world I also chose. Smiling, George.

@@meandnature6452 Hello. I am an old carpenter now. Michy is a young carpenter. I am pleased again and again with the way she figures out carpentry, much like I once did Some folks look at wood and see heavy dangerous hard work. Carpenters that have a love for it, get joy from the struggles and accomplishment The old carpenter I spoke of, saw that I would be one of those who found joy in carpentry. He was teasing me by saying sawdust would make me crazy. Crazy to love hard work, crazy about the smell of cutting through a resinous knot, crazy about cleaning up huge piles of sawdust...Michy is at the beginning stages of that kind of crazy enjoyment of the struggle and accomplishment. Im sorry you didn't understand, but I am pretty sure, Michy is in the beginning stages of sawdust euphoria.

@trimbaker1893
@trimbaker1893 3 жыл бұрын
@@meandnature6452 : ) be careful. the sawdust will make you crazy. Smiling. Hmmmm, what wisdom to share... get a good broom. Not a push broom. push brooms do just that, push the dirt around. Get a good "corn broom" we used to call them. The kind of broom with the good stiff bristles and a wooden handle. Get a dust pan too. put your name on the dust pan. Get to work early, clean up. stay late, clean up. I find lost tools, mistakes and nails that need to be pounded further, just by always cleaning up at the end of the day. People do better work when its clean. I think it is a form of respect to clean up. Don't get angry when you have to clean other peoples mess. I used to get angry about that, then I realized I would be angry every day if I tried to change my work space by being angry. As soon as it is clean, I feel better and I can enjoy my work. Don't let anyone teach you to use a different standard when the work you are doing " won't ever be seen" because they would rather be slob carpenters. It all matters. Every time, always. I hope you have a buddy that enjoys the woodworking too. My buddy Mike and I worked together for about fourty years and we did nice work. Mike died. I miss him. I frame a house with the same care that goes in to trimming one out. It makes me smile each time I "meet" a carpenter who truly enjoys the sawdust euphoria I spoke of. Oh, one more thing...never use power tools when you have anything else on your mind. If you have to go to the bathroom or your mate is on your mind, go take care of it and come back when you can work safely. Never use the tool to hold up your body weight. for instance, do not lean on the board you are pushing through the table saw. If you keep one foot planted beneath your face no matter what you are doing, you will not fall onto the tool if things go horribly wrong. Try it. One foot under your face, look down, see your foot now you can move your hands any where around you and you do not fall. A boxer taught me that and it has kept me off the blade a time or two. Never hold the work within the length of the nail when using a nail gun. they curl out often enough and if your hand is never within the length of the nail, it wont get stitched to the work. ( ouch) I know. ok...This is not the Trimbaker show...I wish you a satisfying life with woodworking putting food on the table any where you go. Smiling, George.

Great job Michelle! I had a carpenter point out something the other day. If you take two pieces of wood and do a lap type joint (I tested this out) and drive a couple of nails straight in vs driving them in at an angle the nails driven at an angle are stronger ! Just thought I would pass this along. Keep up the good work and good videos!

hi Michelle, usually I put an inch, today I risk a comment (language barrier, thank you translator lol) I watched and observed your video and your way of practicing, you can be proud of yourself and this achievement, everything is more level !!! every detail is thought of ....... levels, alignments etc etc etc ... nothing to say! Just one thing to say anyway, pay attention to yourself, I saw you lifting big loads in relation to you, sooner or later ..... our body reminds us then On these few words, I wish you good things, and again ... respect 👍👍👍
