The green woodworking course that I attended was held by the Northmen Guild in Latvia! If you haven't seen their youtube channel here it is: www.youtube.com/@northmenguild If you want to do the same course as I did or any other by the Northmen check out this link: northmen.com/en/courses/traditional-joinery-and-green-woodworking/apply-for-a-course For the past three years the Northmen Guild have been working on a unique project, the construction of a historically faithful, timber framed forging workshop to act as a new centre for the Guild’s blacksmiths. Their aim is to create a space where blacksmiths from all corners of the globe will be welcome to practise their craft, share their expertise, and create beautiful and functional works of art. It will also be open to the public to visit as part of the wider woodworking museum and forest park at “Vienkocu Parks, Ligatne." A further aim for the forge is to educate beginners, amateurs and enthusiasts by offering intensive, two to three week long training courses in blacksmithing, similar in style to the woodworking course I attended. Designed and constructed in large part by a small team headed by master blacksmith and timber framer Soeren Uhlmann, the building has risen steadily over the months and now stands close to completion. One final push is necessary to finish and round off the project. Whilst the building stands ready, it is empty of much of the specialist equipment required for a fully equipped, multi functional blacksmithing workshop to reach its full potential. If you want to support the project, please follow the link to their crowdfunding project below. 4fund.com/yuewuw

What a fantastic opportunity to learn from true masters. I find it interesting that English is the universal language that allows people from nearly all parts of the world to easily communicate with each other. We Americans live a very insulated life already possessing a universal language within the confines of our own country, but we struggle mightily when we visit foreign countries.
@dionh70Ай бұрын
You could say that American english is the lingua franca of the last 100 years.
@fazzaahmed6702Ай бұрын
Not universal language but language forced upon people through colonialism,wars and slavery 😂I mean look at America (conquered land from natives by Brits) Look at Africa again land gained by settlers . Look at Australia 😂 India Korea Vietnam And very recently now America and its root head of octopus Brits have stepped into afganistan,and middle East enforcing what they believe and undermining the culture and heritage of the ethnic people

This makes me wanna start again with some handbuild projects simmilar to what you captured there! Thank you for this!
