The dad for the cancer patient makes me sad. You can tell he’s heartbroken but he knows that letting go is all he can do. I can’t imagine the real families facing that situation. While this show is probably far from accurate it definitely hits emotionally sometimes.

When someone suggest something that hasn't been suggested before you'd think a parent would do anything they could to get to the bottom of the problem. I've seen this before and when I saw it last time I thought the same thing, he's done something hasn't he?

I get that it's upsetting when a child dies. But she, as a Doctor knows that, so where did she fail that little girl ? She stated that she was far too ill from the start of her being brought in, even the best Doctor in the world can only do what they are capable of, people die, it's life. Yes that sounds harsh, but it's something you have to get used to when you have worked in the health service, it still hurts when you lose people you have got to know.
@andreagrussu6778Ай бұрын
Logically, you are right. But emotions are not logical. Even if she knew she was too sick to begin with, seeing a little girl die is always heartbreaking, even for experienced doctor and even if they don't show it.
@bravobr9725Ай бұрын
@@andreagrussu6778 I understand that, I did nursing for 18 years, and it was bad enough when an adult died that you had got to know. That is one reason I could never look after children, as I would find it too upsetting to deal with.

@@bravobr9725 i can only imagine how pediatric oncologist must feel. I don't think i'd be able to withstand that kind of feeling. Or, if I did, probably after a while I would become numb to it.

What the hell was that doctor doing, he was doing CPR wrong, you’re supposed to do it with two hands not one. Clearly he isn’t and wasn’t trained well
@kirihughes76502 ай бұрын
Well it’s a show 🤨
@Samantha-ek3pb2 ай бұрын
That isn’t true. It doesn’t matter how many hands you use so long as you are doing 3 things: doing it on the right spot of the chest, going the right speed, and going the right depth. As long as you are going the right depth on each compression you can use one hand or two. Especially when it comes to children, you don’t want to use two hands if it means you’re going to go too hard/too deep. For a grown man doing CPR on a child then he most certainly can use only one hand if he’s strong enough to get the right depth.

Its actually not wrong at all! For children over the age of 2 (depending on size) you should only use one hand as they are a lot smaller and more fragile than an adult would be. Using one hand with your arm fully extended is perfectly okay for them!
