Great way to organize the power supply to be used with the accessories & make it water tight & easily removable!! That battery boxx may also be able to hold a 35 aH 12 volt mobility battery for a trolling motor...

Very nice job on the box!! I like the idea of putting an SAE socket on it. Planning on building one myself but I have one question: Your link to the LED lights gives the option of either 3 watt or 9 watt lights. Which did you go with, and are you satisfied with the amount of light? Thanks in advance.

Thanks dave! I spent a good amount of time on it and the SAE is currently the most used function on my box, for my situation, so I am very pleased with that decision. My box has two 9W LED's and it is phenomenal! I've carried my shanty back multiple times during the middle of the night without any problems. I'd go with the 9W for sure!

Hey Vinnie! Quick question for ya, I just bought my Sea Ghost 130 and am about to setup a Garmin striker 4cv fish finder in the designated area. I noticed you wrapped your excess wiring around the transducer in the area of the yak that will be submerged in water, after use has the wires being wrapped around the transducer caused any issues? I cant decide if I want to wrap them below or above my sea ghost. Thanks!

jake leuzzi hey Jake thanks for asking! I heard as long as you wrap in 4”+ diameter it won’t cause any issues. I havnt had any issues and there’s no wear on my wire 👍🏼

I did not get the side scan option because the transducer was too big for my kayak and my trolling motor on the Jon boat does not work with that feature. Just wasn’t worth it to me. I’m in Michigan btw and that’s great! Possibly your transducer hole on the hobie would be big enough?

I still use it to this day. I usually plug it in to charge the night before and its never ran out of power after a full day of fishing with the transducer on the whole time and few gopro battery charges and the occasional phone charge.
