Happened with me too. The stomach pump. Picc line. Hospitalized, flushed my kidneys, liver almost shut down too, brushing my teeth was crazy without throwing up, vomiting so much there was a blood. Then there was a hole in the esophagus. Then let's add salivating excessively walking around with a spit jar. From 5 weeks till 37 weeks emergency c section. Hospitalized at least 3 times a week. Lost my job they didn't gives a f@ck. I went into horrible depression. I also had a boy. I am Nigerian as well lol. My lil man is 1 today. I had zofran. We need more healthcare on this hg.

I hit 5 months now, the vomitting has subsided-a lot (from 10 times everyday to once a week). It happens if I eat fruit or get too hungry , the pytalism hasn't stopped. I get slight headaches but I'm thankful I'm better now. I'm starting to feel the kicks.

I had hg with my first baby boy 9 yrs ago so feel your pain. Was the most traumatic experience of my entire life. Had to quit my job, lost 20lbs and couldn’t keep anything, not even water down. Heck just looking at certain people had me throwing up. Awful awful. Even in labor I was throwing up. It never ever eased. 20x a day everyday.

Nobody listened they kept telling me east ginger candy. Thank God for my NP. My first time meeting her I said I’m sick. Its HG. It’s more than morning sickness. As I looked through your comment section. I noticed I didn't see one comment that could relate to your situation. I too, am Hyperemesis. My mom was always concerned if I would end up with the same issue, and I surely did. When I seen that medication bottle. Girrrllll I started rolling my eyes. I had enough of them things to open my own pharmacy. My mother was one of the 1st women in our state to be diagnosed with this condition. Back then they didn't know what the hell it was. They thought she was crazy no lie! I got stories for days. With this medical condition they recommend that you only have 1 child, because it only gets worse with each pregnancy. Living testimony here. Just food for thought on that one. Which you probably already know lol. Yrs later tho, other women began popping up with this condition after my mother's situation. Bet those Drs. felt like crumbs. Tyfs sorry for the long drawn out comment. It's just so rare for me to see women who were diagnosed with this condition during there pregnancy. Enjoy your bundle of joy. They grow up super fast. Heck I'm bout ready for mines to get a job 😂😂😂😂.

So glad that part is over for you. My sister with twins suffered so badly with this, in and out of the hospital, and countless weight loss. Thankfully she delivered a healthy baby boy and girl. It really hit home though when my baby girl suffered last year with this condition. She lived in the bathroom, nothing worked. I felt worthless not being able to help. From about 14 weeks she was on daily doses of Zofran and toward the end they added reglan. God knows I was so happy when it was over for her. The weight loss scared me the most. She cried and often thought she couldn't do it. It is over with a happy beautiful 4 month old baby girl named Aubree Jordyn. Thanks for sharing your story Osa

I’m 11 weeks now and my doctor prescribed reglan for me also and its helping a bit but making me very sleepy. I have two smaller children though so it’s important I stay up during the day to care for them. I haven’t eaten anything more than just nuts and juice in over 5 weeks now. Wow!! When your video showed up in my feed I has to watch.. 😊 I have HG also. Since 8 weeks (Aug 25) until now. I'm 33 weeks along and I'm really looking forward to not feeling sick every day. Thank you for sharing your experience. We need to talk about it more so that others can get help or at least know what is going on. Dicletin does not work for everyone and it actually sent me to the hospital with severe dehydration. I also had home care for 6 weeks for hydration by IV. Very frustrating experience!! I couldn't drive due to motion sickness. You are so right about people telling you what to eat!! Nothing helps! I tried ginger, crackers, protein shake, homeopathy, Chinese medicine reiki treatments, etc. The acid reflux made the vomiting worse. I definitely could not eat spicy or garlic in my food. Yup!! Same thing regarding the nosebleeds which also triggered the vomiting after the blood collects in my throat. I gained 33lbs so far and with 5 weeks to go, my appetite is better. Gravol and Zantac are helping me to not vomit and feel so nauseous. Did your baby have jaundice? Was your baby smaller at birth? I've been told my baby is below her gestational weight. As I type this at 5am, I'm eating shreddies... 😊 😋 it stays down. Will you have another child?
@Osa.OsulaTV6 жыл бұрын
First I thank God for your life. It is a very difficult an isolating illness so make sure you have enough support around you. Up until the last two months my baby was on the lower side of his birth weight and then he was within normal range when he was delivered. Please hang in there, you are so close to the finish line and you will get to hold your bundle of joy. Thankfully no jaundice. Please keep me posted on your pregnancy.

Watching this video and reading through the comments really gives me encouragement. I'm 9 weeks 4 days and I have severe HG. I vomit three to four times a day. It's been like this since I was about 6 weeks. I feel like I can't take much more. I cry all day because I feel like nobody understands how I feel. Everyone's telling me eat saltine crackers, drink ginger ale, blah blah blah I've tried all that and nothing helps. Some days I just want to crawl into a hole and die. I'm just so tired of feeling nauseous 24 hrs a day. I know it will all be worth it in the end once I hold my baby. I'm just so tired right now😢😢😢😢😢

My first pregnancy was an absolute nightmare. Couldn’t eat or drink anything. Water was the worst. I hated all smells and the thing is my smelling senses became so strong. I fainted so many times no doctor payed any attention to what I was saying they all kept dismissing it as normal morning sickness. I was literally at the ER so many times. I freaking HATED it. I got diclectine which is a prescribed medicine to ‘help’ with it although it didn’t do much tbh. I was throwing up till the time I was literally giving birth. I’m on my second pregnancy and I’m 19 weeks along, already feeling like absolute crap. I’m pretty sure I’ll be bringing this up to my new doctor and new midwives and I’m hoping that this time someone will listen 😭

Thank you for speaking about a subject that a lot of women experience but is still kind of taboo to talk about since we are suppose to enjoy the pregnancy experience and "glow"continuously regardless of how we are feeling. I refused epidural with my first child since I wanted to have a natural birth. When the contraction didn't ease up a bit and I got delirious, when I came back to my senses I request the epidural I don't regret it at all.

I’m currently 7 months pregnant I’ve been dealing with this since I’ve became pregnant and still today I vomit food. I’ve been in and out the hospital on IVs constantly. It’s depressing, makes you feel disgusting, I spit all day long I sit next to a garbage can or if I go out I have a bottle. It’s terrible when you have doctors or people don’t understand you smh.. I don’t want anymore kids.. babies are beautiful but for me I don’t get to enjoy the happiness of being pregnant. I drink water I vomit, I been on apple juice, IVs, apples sometimes and watermelon sometimes I cant even eat at all STILL. It is not regular morning sickness, your literary suffering for your child to get here it’s so hard to enjoy the pregnancy, from not being able to hold down water even had to take antibiotics due to infections.. it’s not easy..I had to immediately take medical leave off work I was so miserable.

Good to see you and your baby is doing well. I was sick my last pregnancy too. It was actually how I found out I was pregnant. It was weird. I would get sick for 2-3 weeks then get better for about 2 days, then I'm sick again.

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant with my second...my little girl is 7 now. I was so sick with her but the docs just really left me to it :( I just never thought about the morn sickness as it's been 7 years since I experienced it but I'm in such a bad way :( it lasted to week 20 with my first. No idea how I survived it and no idea how I'm surviving again :( it's harder this time as I have a little one to look after. I'm so depressed and just can't see the end :(
