Fun fact about that portrait of Jane inside the cover of that old, sun-faded edition. It's actually painted by her sister, Cassandra, and is the only authenticated, drawn-from-life portrait of her! Most of the portraits you see of her are usually variations on this one since this was the only contemporary to Jane reference that they had. Pride and Prejudice is also my favorite book (clearly lol) so I love seeing your collection! Can't wait to see more Austen content from you!

Still looking for your Battle of the Adaptations on this!! I don’t love romance, but I love this book. I’ve only watched one version. THE version in my opinion. So I’m curious what you think of others since I can’t move past the trailers and thinking: “That’s not Elizabeth!”. Side note - The characters are also refreshingly relatable for neurodivergents.

Omg, I have this really beautiful edition of pride and prejudice. It's in German unfortunately, so it's not as universal and accessible as the English version, but it is so incredibly pretty. It has Darcy's letter as an ACTUAL letter, like envelope and all, included. It's so pretty, I can't even put it in words

@@happyjellycatsquid It's the Coppenrath edition illustrated by Marjolein Bastin, they currently have a few Austen books in this edition. Just Google "Coppenrath Jane Austen" and it will come up:)

your curls look so good omg. i’ve never read pride and prejudice but i’m very intrigued. the vintage classic version is so eye catching! I love the sun burned edges on the oldest copy you have, it makes it so beautiful. omg the manga hahahaha that really surprised me. wow those teal edges!!! 🥺 the illustrated version is so gorgeous!!! i love how they did the letter!!! woah the annotated one is a big boi!!! i love your collection!!!

You're making me want to buy another edition of P&P (although I will probably be killed by my mother if I come back with yet another edition of this book)! My favorite edition that I own is the coloring book I bought a few years ago. I will never color it because I don't want to ruin it but it's so beautiful, the cover has gold foil details and is honestly the most beautiful book I own.

oh my gosh I´m so happy I´m not the only one to have more than one Pride and Prejudice. Everyone looks at me like I am some weirdo :D I have two at the moment - one is the Macmillan collection and other is a czech edition from 1986. And I´m on the look for another one (czech 1974 and 2006 - it has beautiful movie cover), although I´m gonna buy 1986 edition again cause my rabbit kind of chew up the cover so I need another one :D. I´m not crazy I swear
