I go through my entire printing workflow from start to finish, from taking the photograph, choosing the paper, loading the paper profiles, calibrating my monitor, signing the print, cutting the print and packaging the print.

Really great information there. Thanks. Certainly shows that a print isn't just hitting the print button, but a work of art in itself that requires time and thought.

Thanks, Tom, wonderful video! I learned a great deal and it encourages me to do more printing, though I do quite a bit already. I don't sell my work, but I do give prints to people who admire my work and I think they really value it. What I like about this video is that you show all the steps and I think many people don't realize that a lot of work goes into getting a good print. Thanks again. Cheers, Bob

I have been watching your videos for a couple of years and I think this is my first feedback for any video/profile so far. I admire your way of express your art. Keep doing it you inspire a lot of people! My humble thank you to share it with us.

This video prompted me to purchase a few prints. We are decorating our living spaces. That I enjoy all of these videos, can watch the process of capturing the images I love, get comments on the process of developing and printing, know that tons of care goes into the prints... makes me compelled to buy prints of those images that I truly love. Great video. Thank you for showing how much care you take in sharing your work.

Was kind of "ho-hum" about watching this video because I do enjoy your on location videos so much. However, I must say that this was one of the most enjoyable of your videos I have watched (have watched pretty much all of them). Attention to detail, caring for your customer and passion are a heady and powerful mix. Wishing you every success.

The best explanation on printing I've found. Forwarded this to a friend who fell in love with your photos too. Not only calibrating the monitor but using the icc profile to make sure the paper matches your edit is that tricky bit that only makes sense once you think about it. Closest analog is treating a room to remove sound reflections so you can edit music without the room contributing its character.

This video was an eye opener. Now I want to print my own photos. You have ultimate control over their quality and aren't trusting a print lab. The only downside is you cannot offer a wide myriad of choice as far as print size when you have your own printer, unless it is one of those big expensive ones like what Jared Polin has. I love your workflow, Thomas. It is an inspiration to any aspiring photographer.
