I have learned to spread the cost of restoration out over a couple of years so my wife don't get real bad sticker shock. If you spend too much too quick and your a person of average means it will get you into a pickle sometimes!

@@thecougareliminatorden1622 It's almost always a couple of years project for me. Especially when they need almost everything. My thing is 69 Camaros even though everything you might need is available it does cost money. I bought my retirement car a long time ago it's a Parnelli Jones Mustang. It is one of the best cars I have ever owned. My 69 RS/SS Camaro convertible took me two years to finish and I bought it as a started project and some of the work was already done! The Guy had started it and ran out of money & maybe enthusiasm!

Nice update! Funny, I ran across a post on the Cougar forum earlier this week regarding the paint stripping colors for drive shafts. I looking up u-joints and found it. You should be able to find the info. I just put in the Open Tracker spring perches and they really nice. My old ones were completely seized. WCCC’s shipping charges have gotten out of hand. It can be a killer on the project. I only use them if absolutely necessary to get something I can’t find elsewhere. Good luck on the GT.
