I was obsessed with that movie when it came out. I saw it alone in theaters for the 1st time, and had a long walk home alone in the middle of the night when it got out. I ended up sprinting most of it. Been a big fan of found footage films ever since.

Blair Witch Project was a groundbreaking movie when it comes to “fan made” low budget movies. Broke records I believe, very well done, but WOW! the Blair Witch Project 2 was horrible…. My opinion
@writerpatrick

It made a quarter billion worldwide on a $60 000 budget. That's around an 8000 percent return. It would be near impossible for a low budget film to get into theaters today.

I disagree, Book of Shadows was an epic film 🎥 none of these were fan made they were all Hollywood to begin with. Now I will say part 3 sucked. I had wrote a script myself that I wish they would’ve used cuz it shows how The Blair witch came to be. ❤ long live this franchise it’s my favorite scary movie cuz it can be very real. Witches are still out there and curses are still alive and active. Stay safe in the woods yall. ❤

I ate up everything to do with BWP back in the day! I loved every bit of "evidence" & lore & when we went to see the film I was SO excited! Our friend was manager at the theatre so we got an authentic movie poster from him and a reel of trailers of the film! So all-in-all the BWP is my all-time favorite horror "found footage documentary" with the greatest back story & incredible acting (they were so authentic!) Thanks for sharing this experience with us Adam! PS: we live in the woods so there is always a creep factor, especially at night! 💜🤟🙏

Absolutely awesome vlog. Love the panel session. I used to live in a rural part of San Diego known as Harbison Canyon. Houses are really spread out and back in those days when the sun went down, it was dark and spooky as all get out. A couple of weeks before watching the movie in that house, I was told the house was on Native American burial ground. In those days, that was hard to verify. Watching Blair Witch at 9 pm at night in the house, in a rural area, scared the hell out of me. I didn't sleep for days cause I kept hearing the ghost kids at all hours of the night. Best memory now and I have never done any research on the movie to ruin it. Anytime I go through that area I think of that movie, my fantastic fright and feel like I am there with Heather, Michael, and Josh 💀 🤘🏻

I remember watching Blair Witch when it came out. I was about 5 years old and watched it from the hallway because the parents thought it would spook me. It did. It took quite a few years for me to understand it was just a movie and no fact checkable evidence of it being true. I believed in the Blair Witch being real much longer than I ever believed in Santa. Still one of my top movies to watch throughout the month of October.

Blair Witch came out when I graduated HS and I remember absolutely hating it. I couldn't understand why people liked it at the time--same with other "found footage" movies like Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield etc later on. Looking back, the whole era of the very early 2000s was really strong with believable urban legends, ghosthunters, "scary" stories, folklore stuff like Bloody Mary etc. I appreciate that era more now. Any and every urban legend was "true" before the internet.

My Brother came down here about the time when this Film was out on DVD. We all sat in my 7.2 THX Theatre Room and played this without interuption ! EPIC Time, we picked up bits and pieces throughout the film. One of our friends that was with us was a Criminologist. He laid out his thought after the ending. EPIC, and that made the film more realistic for us. This Cast did an AMAZING JOB on the Budget they had ! Hey, Proof, you don't need a Million Dollar Special Effects Budget to make a GREAT MOVIE ! 😊
