For years, ive wondered about the hadith that says that a muslim should love Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, more than our his own parents. But after this talk man....i feel like a blind man who has been granted sight. Allahhuma salli ala Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wasalam.

This isn't right brothers. We should fear Allah swt and not be obsessed with the simple prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and all the prophets equally. All the prophets are equal in Islam. Its true Muhammad brought the Qur'an and we appreciate him a lot for that, and rightly so. However, stop and think. Is there anyone that should deserve your prayers besides Allah swt? Christians love Jesus. Muslims shouldn't love Muhammad swt to the point of making him a saintly figure. Only Allah swt decides our fate, and Muhammad is on the same level as us: just a regular person. A chosen one, yes, but he never told us to honor him to the extent that this Shaykh would have you believe. No person is perfect. No one. Not even Adam and Eve. They sinned. Proof that anyone is vulnerable to sin and temptation. All of our souls were created imperfectly and only Allah swt can save us through his mercy, which is what we are supposed to be earning during our lives through contemplation of the noble Qur'an. Believing that praying for "peace and blessings" on a particular prophet will earn us salvation from Allah swt is foolish! Let us direct our love, fear, and worship directly to Allah, with no others mentioned. He deserves it. Salaam

Salam. [2.136] "We believe in Allah and in that which had been revealed to us, and in that which was revealed to Ibrahim and Ismail and Ishaq and Yaqoub and the tribes, and in that which was given to Musa [Moses] and Isa [Jesus], and in that which was given to the prophets from their Lord, we do not make any distinction between any of them, and to Him do we submit." I am trying to tell you to fear your Lord. I think that is something useful so please don't tell me to close my mouth. Claiming Muhammad pbuh is perfect and never sinned is clearly a distinction because Adam pbuh was the first human and prophet and he sinned! All humans are in need of All swt's mercy and forgiveness, prophets and messengers included. Asking for Allah swt to send blessings and salutations is fine, but to single out a single messenger, and to do it during salah which is supposed to be devoted to Allah alone can not possibly be the way of the Prophet. Besides, read this verse " I am not an innovation among the Messengers, and I know not what shall be done with me or with you. I only follow what is revealed to me; I am only a clear warner.' S. 46:8-9 Muhammad pbuh didn't even know for sure if he was going to be saved from the hellfire! Allah swt is clearly telling us that he wasn't perfect! I am not against the way of the prophet. I have the highest respect and esteem for Muhammad and ALL the prophets and messengers. Peace be upon all of them! And Allah swt knows best

venomman01 We all know that the Prophet Muhammad ( may Allah send his peace and blessings upon him)is the best human that ever walked on Earth. And we are very lucky to be in his Ummah. That is why in the journey to the Heavens, Allah gave the Prophet Muhammad (saw) the honour of leading All the other prophets and messengers in Salah. And Allah sent 124000 messengers. Allah swt is honouring our Prophet (saw) . So yes, all of us are equal. But we can never compare ourselves to the Prophet Muhammad(saw).

venomman01 You have a slightly wrong take on things brother. Our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam was PERFECT and SINLESS. You say not to love him so much. There is an authentic hadeeth that says you are not a true believer until you love Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam more than yourself, your parents and everyone. Now ofcourse Allah is the most high and there is no comparable, but after Allah it is Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. When on judgement day when all other prophets turn us away, our beloved Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam will intercede for us. Nobody else. So again please change your view as by your comments, it seems some misguided people have gotten to you.

I am no more than a clear warner." 46:9 (also in 10:15). Can you cite any Qur'an to back up your views? Because the Qur'an states that the only authentic hadith is the Qur'an. "You shall all follow what has been brought down to you from your Lord and do not follow any allies besides Him. Rarely do you remember." 7:2-3 "These are God's revelations that We recite to you truthfully. In which hadith other than God and His revelations do they believe?" 45:6 “ ….. We did not leave anything out of the book; then to their Lord they will be summoned.” 6:38 “….. We have brought the Book down to you providing explanations for all things plus guidance and mercy and giving news to the submitters.” 16:89 [39:43-44] Have they invented intercessors to mediate between them and GOD? Say, "What if they do not possess any power, nor understanding?" Say, "All INTERCESSION belongs to GOD." To Him belongs all sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, then to Him you will be returned. Intercession is one of Satan's most effective trick to entice people into idol worship . To believe that someone possesses a partnership with God in anything is setting up a god besides Him . And this is what the myth of intercession is about . To believe that God will share his authority of intercession with powerless beings (like Muhammed, Jesus , Saints ) . The Qur'an has repeatedly declared that all intercession belongs to God but “the human being is the most argumentative creature.”

venomman01 Brother, it talks about intercession in the Quran: The people will look to those who are of high status to intercede for them with their Lord so that He might relieve them of this distress that they are suffering and come to pass judgement amongst them. So they will come to Adam, but he will excuse himself; then they will come to Nooh, but he will excuse himself; then they will come to Ibraaheem, but he will excuse himself; then they will come to Moosa, but he will excuse himself; then they will come to ‘Eesa, but he will excuse himself. Then they will come to our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and he will say, “I am fit for that.” So he will intercede for the people in the place of gathering, so that judgement may be passed. This is the station of praise and glory which Allaah has promised to him, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqaam Mahmood (a station of praise and glory, i.e., the honour of intercession on the Day of Resurrection)” [al-Isra’ 17:79] Also veried in a lengthy hadith in al-Bukhaari, 4712.
