I have ADD and wasn't diagnosed till I was 28 so it's been interesting trying to navigate. It is very frustrating but I wish I had been diagnosed during childhood. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. 🥰
@JD.7274 жыл бұрын
Same here! 🙋♀️ Although I was diagnosed as a child. I had separate rooms for certain classes, was teased and had some very condescending "SpED" teachers who clearly thought I was "slow" or "defiant" because I was quiet and distracted. I was often either underestimated due to the label or overestimated because I was a girl and didn't fit the single (predominantly male) stereotype for ADHD. It meant that the supports were mostly misses. The specialists who knew what they were doing were financially inaccessible to me. I know it was a privilege to be identified early, despite how it felt and how little it seemed to help. If I wasn't diagnosed until now, I'd probably always wonder "what if," but considering how far the knowledge, research and awareness has come in the past few decades, I think this is not a bad time at all to be diagnosed. An earlier diagnosis may not have brought as much benefit as it would today. It might always be hard not to wonder how things might have been different, but I hope you feel no regrets or sadness and are extremely proud of the accomplishments you made before you had the validation and support the diagnosis brings.

Yes please make a video on ADHD, Caleb!
@JD.7274 жыл бұрын
Please make a video on your life with ADHD! It encompasses so much and I'd love to know how you deal with it. The crazy-making combo of ambition, inspiration and restless inability to focus, perfectionism, the hyperfocus super tunnel vision, total burnout, self doubt, depression, social issues, frustration, anxiety, how the simplest of tasks become unsurmountable, the inability to "turn off"... so many pieces to manage. It's a lot. Other ADHD peeps like me can learn so much from you! Major props to you for GETTING YOUR LIFE, being open, kind to others and working hard on yourself. You are such a light. 🤜🤛💕🙆♀️

Well, then you should have a very long life, my friend because you have so many people applauding you, and I for one feel like you’re an angel placed among us to keep things lighter. I watch your videos when I’m feeling fragile and they make me smile and I forget my pain. I am going through a lot right now and having my phone and your videos get me through. My son is 21 and has been in a court case for almost a year and I won’t know what will happen to him until May 8 and even then I won’t know for sure. I’ve been living in constant uncertainty about him, and this channel has made things easier for me. You have no idea how many people you’re affecting with your joy, your smile, your vulnerability and sincerity. I love Allison and Haley, too…the three of you guys are so amazing together. You all have good karma coming your way.

Thank You You're absolutely awesome 💗

I have ADHD and have just now been sort of figuring it out? Something I recognized about myself is that I need to leave my food/bev job in order to work on my creative projects. It’s a scary step, but I gotta do it, as working my current job kills my drive so much! Your fitness Marshall dance vids have really helped me with workouts in between my projects! I’ve lost almost 20 lbs from playing Beat Saber and doing your dances, as I had my first internship this summer and it was stressful! But yeah you’ve helped me a lot, thanks!

I’m definitely the same with laundry. By the time I actually do get them folded & was put away I have to start the process all over again. 😂😂 Also I don’t have ADHD, however I would still be interested in learning more. Speaking for someone who has had depression & anxiety, and has shared about it on social media, I can say it not only helps & inspires others, who either go through the same thing or know someone that does, but it can also be helpful for you to talk about it as well. ❤️

I have adhd and it manifests in high anxiety and talking a lot and not being able to focus on just one thing. I used to get in trouble for talking in school. I had to be medicated to be able to focus on one thing rather than the million in my head. Meditation and working out help with my anxiety.

Leftovers are meals you don't have to cook. We make big dinners here and leftovers are lunches. It's also nice with my GAD to not have to think about what to eat that day, it's already figured out. Would love a video about your ADHD, love when you speak your truth. I have rewatched a few of your anxiety vids when mine is spiraling. Also def outing my status as fangirl, but one of the Instagram accounts I follow suggested this podcast for people with ADHD and I thought of you. :) @excusemyADHD

First of all, my apology in advance. I have only seen this video and yes, I have ADHD. I was dx'ed with that as a child but for some reasons, I was taken off the ADHD medications when I was a teenager. I still have ADHD years later, and I found out recently that because I have ADHD, coffee makes me sleepy. That's what my cyber sister, Snowy, told me, and it had been true. Thanks for sharing your ADHD stories with us.

I love this type of vlog. Mr. Moody needs ummmmmmm some release, CALEB. Also, if we speak with love to whomever we meet, it will be okay, Cameron. IF it were a meeting with a stranger, we want them to tell US what they want to be called. I am an independent woman who happens to have a husband whom I love very much--and I don't mind being called you guys (as the audience).
