Love this idea of daily videos testing and tuning a deck! Can’t wait to see how it develops.

This is so exciting! You are the reason I bought into Legacy Dredge some years ago. Thank you so much for your teachings and the fun entertainment !

I like this video series idea, seeing a deck evolve

Absolutely! There is so much work behind a truly competitive deck.

I am excited for this series!! I played Satoru v2 this week at the LGS and went 2-1, beating UB Delver and Painter and losing to GW Initiative.

Mahfuz what do you think about adding surveillands? Already looking forward to the future videos
@MahfuzVanGogh4 ай бұрын
Hey there! After hundreds of matches testing them in all my lists, I can confidently say you always want 1 or 2 Surveil lands in LEDless builds, but 0 in LED builds.
@diamanteloco4 ай бұрын
I’ll still watch all your vids, but unfortunately anything involving LED is out the door for me lol (don’t wanna dump $2000-$2500 into 4 LEDs in paper 😂)
@MahfuzVanGogh4 ай бұрын
I can relate to that! Soon, I'll do a series focused on budget builds of my favorite decks, all of them with zero RL cards.

Agreed !! I'm tempted to fork the cash bcoz this dredge iteration is just sooo good 😎

For modern, with cephalid colisseum, do you have a build? I just qualified with a version of dredge in my local scene to the regional.

Is there any value in shambling shell over thug and force of vigor in the Side board?
@MahfuzVanGogh4 ай бұрын
I don't think so. We would need even more green spells to make FoV reliable enough in builds like this one.
@Rfreer534 ай бұрын
@@MahfuzVanGogh yeah I agree, also just ran this list through a mtgo league and went 4-1 deck is extremely strong. Beat storm, lands, grixis delver and izzet delver. lost to izzet delver as my last game. The bounce spells seem so-so. Even if i knew my opponent has grafdiggers or something of the like i still didnt want to bring them in. You just have to have it at the exact right time. Also side boarding felt hard cause i never wanted to take more than 3 cards out. Curious to see what changes you come up with.

what do you think about consign to memory for the sideboard to fight against artifact based hate or against boujuka bog/ endurance?
@MahfuzVanGogh4 ай бұрын
I want to test this card in Blue Dredge (without LED); it seems great as a 2-of in the sideboard. LED builds are the opposite, this card always pushes us toward fast turns, and discarding your hand isn't ideal when you want to hold counterspells.
@CharlotteMimic4 ай бұрын
I get scared of graveyard hate and board in the bounce spells more than I maybe should. How do you handle the fear of having no outs to a Leyline or Rest in Peace?
@MahfuzVanGogh4 ай бұрын
Knowing the updated metagame is key. Leyline is seeing less and less play lately, while Rest in Peace is also pretty uncommon, usually appearing as just 1-2 copies.
@mazeration4 ай бұрын
what do you think about entomb in the main deck, it should be a tutor for almost everything?
@MahfuzVanGogh4 ай бұрын
Entomb is a great card, but it is too slow for this deck. I've been experimenting with a Black Dredge build using Entomb and Dark Ritual, but we don't have enough pieces to make a competitive mono-black deck just yet. Maybe soon...
