I like these videos because it amazes me how similar so many childhoods were during that time frame. I grew up in KY, even though there was no internet in the 80s and the early 90s, I remember Hornets gear being so popular. I even had a starter jacket that said Charlotte on it. It was also very popular to wear Miami Hurricanes stuff. So there are alot of pictures of me in middle school wearing Miami stuff. I dont even think I ever watched a game. LMAO

my mum brought me exactly 1 pack of fleer cards back from a visit to the us. as an east german kid just shortly after the reunification. it had a michael jordan card in it with his signature dunk. i was so impressed that it triggered a lifelong love for the sport but also collecting. at some point i had quite a nice collection a few years later.about 5000 cards from different manufacturers. i wasnt in it for the money that could be made but i loved the thrill opening a new pack and see what it contains. my entire collection got stolen when some &§!holes broke into my flat which made it especially bitter since iam 100% sure it was "friends" of mine at the time who knew i had a nice collection of BB cards and wanted to cash in. your video had me be 10 years old again and be excited for something that i loved for so many years..i could smell the cards as you opened those packs and i thank you deeply for bringing this old german dude some sweet childhood memories back!

It really is incredible that you've got footage of yourself so young. An absolute nostalgia trip watching you as a kid shooting hops. Last time I ever did as a teen, a wasp nest was made at the back of the hoop and after 3 shots, I was stung about 7 times before I made it back inside. Don't think I ever played again. Those were the days man.
