back in 2000 I used to do Chinese takeaway deliveries, this was way before sat nav. I did my local area so I kinda knew where the streets were. However, I hated going into the "dodgy" areas outwith my usual area. It was scary as bearing in mind I got paid with cash when we did the delivery for the food and my delivery charge and it was risky carrying the money on me, thankfully I was never robbed, but you still had the fear that it was a possibility. Often people would call the shop for a delivery with no intention of paying for it, they would take it then just slam the door in my face. I was a female on my own, so what could I do? People don't realize that this is hard work. Climbing lots of stairs, often long walks from where we parked, rude customers, rude shop staff. I did it for about 3 months, that was enough. So I have huge respect for all delivery drivers..I always thank them and wish them safe driving as without home delivery now I would struggle, as I'm a chronic pain sufferer. So thank you ALL hard working delivery guys and gals 💖💖

I remember seeing 2 lads on a moped who kept riding through the pathway looking to snatch phones when I was on my way to the shop, then I came out the shop, 10 seconds later I heard someone scream "oi" in the distance and it was the same people riding around.
