The same Inner London where THe London Evening News drivers dropped their papers and MONEY BAG in the road, on the pavement, overnight,to collect it all the next morning and did that just 2 miles from these areas through the 1950s/1960s.The same London where I broke down and on 3 separate occasions got 3 complete strangers to change my tire and in the days when The A A would not come to your home,I got 2 people to push my car 1/3rd mile down the road so they could fix the problem. Does the UK not have incremental tax brackets? Where I live, every tax bracket matches a certain amount of earning, so the taxes you pay over that amount is still the lower amount. It is only the amount that fits in the next bracket that has the higher rate applied to it. You shouldn't get shafted just by ending up in a higher tax bracket; you just earn a little bit less for the time you invest starting at that point.
@lloydmorganmoore781011 ай бұрын
That's how it works in the UK too. It's only earnings over the threshold for a bracket that are taxed at the amount for that bracket, and the first £12,570 of your earnings are tax free (unless you earn over £100,000).

Risk versus reward. You would think the app companies would step up the rates for the graveyard shift. And as a customer even. Surely you should expect to pay more for a delivery at 2am.
@jimballantine440811 ай бұрын
Serious question : why pay more to the rider out at that time? They are there because they choose to be there as such it's on them. Fact is deliveries at that time are easier and quicker and simpler than say during the manic evening hours. What should happen is riders staying on late should get a fixed bonus payment to compensate. So say you do 6 til 12 pm then contract to stay online delivering to say 3 am you get a £25 bonus assuming you get offers and deliver them as normal and on top of the usual delivery fee.
@davetaylor474111 ай бұрын
