Don't be seduced by the dark side! Kidding of course, but racing chairs are hard on shoulders -- many of the hardcore racers I knew back in the day have since ended up needing surgery to repair their rotator cuffs... not a small deal when your shoulders also carry your independence. Don't get me wrong, these chairs are incredible devices for all they make possible, but handcycles win for ergonomics over the long haul as an athlete IMHO. I've never seen a handcycle up close before...very interesting. It would be cool to see how you actually get in one...doesn't look ez.

It's certainly not easy, no, and depends on the nature of your injury, but I've found a way that works for me. I'll show it in another video

sweet - have not seen one before. what garmin unit would you be using on this? I am looking for one to track distance (at the minimum) and would like one to be always on so I don't have to start it every time I roll around. been thinking of bike ones for garmin (I think garmin speed 2) but not sure if you have a better suggestion!

I use an edge 810. It works perfectly for my needs. I think it’s even too much in terms of what it can do, so probably a simpler one would be better for your needs

@@Queenmania2007 thanks! Yea just had a look and does seem like it has a lot of functions! Does it start tracking automatically or do you have to trigger it?

@@the_viper_leo you have to start it each time, but then there’s a setting for auto pause and auto restart during activity
