The plants you just planted are called desert rose (Adenium obesum). Don't overwater them. The tortoises are gorgeous, keep up the great work.

The radiated tortoises are just so appealing, Great job on the renovation. I really like the way you explain why you do what you do. Another job well done. Hi to Kenya.

you are so right on when you say every animal, and person are different, each is unique, so many people don't pay attention to the beautiful variety we have in life, there is no person or animal that is exactly the same, not even in the same species, not even in plants, no leaf, or flower is exactly the same.

Kenan had a problem with his Riadiaded’s eating rocks and he lost a couple because of impaction. You might want to touch base with him about it. He had to redo the entire enclosure because of it. I’m not being mean or pointing fingers, I just know how upset he was when he lost his to impaction.

He lost one tortoise and the vet wasn’t completely sure it was because of the rock. Kenan, just wanted to be safe, good call to mention it though 😊
@davidvento54812 жыл бұрын
The solution is pretty simple; just feed them on a big, flat paver or field stone. A “feeding table” is always a good idea.
@davidvento54812 жыл бұрын
@@ThePollaton Right. I also indicated it may have eaten some poisonous plant species that popped up in the yard. Plants rely on birds (and other animals) to distribute their seeds via their poop and Kenan mentioned some “pretty blue flowers” he didn’t plant & couldn’t identify. I suggested he send a pic to a plant nursery or a botanist for a positive ID. Turtles/tortoises love to eat colorful flowers.

You should do a ranch growth/rebuild video starting from the barn fire until now. Just to show how much you've progressed and grown since then. Especially for your recent followers
@bsrrieadgie30402 жыл бұрын
Smashing the videos loving seeing all new things you doing and how much has changed on the ranch. Was thinking good project for you after all the bad weather why don't you knock down the small goat house and build something like your fish building but smaller like a building /big barn with overhangs on both sides so goats and that can stand under for shelter if want and same with moors and the emus but if bad weather comes can put them all in barn with there own big stalls

I have a breeding pair of Star Tortoises which are arguably the most attractive tortoise species I also have a Marginated and a blonde-phase Leopard, both sub adults. Both species are also finalists in the “tortoise beauty pageant” lol Although technically not true tortoises the Eastern Box Turtles are as attractive as any exotic species. They are hands-down the most colorful species in North America with their shells having unique patterns of orange, red or yellow and occasionally all 3 colors. The skin of the (males) head & forelegs is either the same or contrasting colors. Occasionally specimens have been found with patches of blue skin like their first cousins the Diamondback Terrapin. As their scientific name suggests (Terrepene Carolina sp.) “boxies” are classified as terrapins. Due to conservation efforts Eastern Box Turtles are no longer considered “endangered“ on CITES.

Kamp Kenan radiated tortoise diey from rock getting impacted with rock so personally I don't think it's a great idea for then nor the Sulcata . Why everyone keeps putting grass fed tortoise on much and rocks just blows my mind why not put top soil and plant grass and weeds so they can continue to graze. They need a grass land enclosure 👀💚🐢🐢🐢
