Man. Just imagine more people living this way of life. Taking care of your body and mind, eating well, caring for animals, nurturing your environment, respecting nature and all its inhabitants, creating your safe haven, listening to your body and eliminating anything that doesn’t serve you. Thank you for mentioning that this way of living is a privilege and a luxury. Not all of us make passive income. I would also like to note that rural living is often romanticized. In reality it can be a bit isolating, full of physical labor, and not convenient in certain aspects. Life is about choosing your hard. So it’s up to you to choose what difficulties you wish to face in life.
@Jeed922 ай бұрын
You say it can be isolating, I say it can be much more peaceful than in a city You say its full of physical labor, I say it keeps you healthy. You say its not convenient, I say its much more convenient, because you can relax much better after hard work, and nobody interrupts your regeneration phase. Life is not about chosing your hard. Life is very easy and too short when you enjoy it. Just my opinion.

Bad comparison. It is fairly easy for anyone to have a garden and cook your own meals, even if you live in an apartment, you can do it. Comparing to Lamborghini is apples and oranges. Having land has always been real wealth. That is why the Merchant Class wanted the peasants off the land through the Enclosure Movement during the Industrial Revolution. They viewed the average man living subsistently off the land as “inefficient” and a scourge to eliminate. The Powers That Be convinced us that land and subsistence living is a bother, better to be a wage slave. A piece of land to call your own is precious AND it is a privilege because it is a piece of the only known biosphere capable of sustaining complex life in the Universe. Thus, we have a responsibility, if we do have land (and even if we do not), to be good stewards of that precious biosphere. Mr. Oakley, you are doing a wonderful job. It is joyful to witness.

You mentioned not having kids making your life less stressful. In relation to living in a city, this is absolutely accurate. However, if you had kids in an environment like this, senza smartphones, tvs and the negative influence of today’s society confusing the hell out of their little minds, they would be an absolute joy to have around.

Looks like material than can be washed in 60 degrees. Fat stains: Washing-up liquid. Leave on for a little while and then wash in the machine at 60 degrees (C). Grass stains: Same procedure. Berry stains: Rinse in water with vinegar added and follow with machine wash, 60 degrees. Works on cotton and linen.
