My reaction to SM the ballad "HOT TIMES" MV

Hi guys! hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for the holidays! Although this is SHINee Saturday, I wanted to take this month to honor our Kim Jonghyun, our beloved Jjong. This is my first video with that intention in mind, and I wanted to prepare it foe you guys, so I hope you enjoy it. I honestly forgot that this even happened, like...SM the balled was a thing, and I didn't even know haha! So this is my first reaction to this song and I'm happy to share it with you guys.
I don't care about getting copyright this time, this MV is a (MUST LISTEN!!!) so let's enjoy it together! I love you guys, and have an awesome weekend, till next week.

SM The Ballad is an SM project group, which consists of SM's best vocalists. There are more artists who are part of this project -- because, as you know, SM is full of crazy amazing vocalists -- but for their "Hot Times" MV it included Jonghyun, who is the main vocalist of SHINee; Kyuhyun, who is one of the main vocalist of Super Junior; Jay, who is the main vocalist of Trax, which was SM's rock/EDM band; and Jinho, who was an SM trainee at the time, but left the company, became a vocal coach and now is the main vocalist of the Kpop group Pentagon. This song was produced by Yoo YoungJin, who as you may remember, is a very famous SM singer, composer and producer who has been the vocal coach for basically all of SM's idols. You have actually probably even heard Yoo YoungJin singing if you have ever heard the album version of EXO's/D.O.'s "(Tell Me) What is Love." And if you have watched Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry Answer" MV, then you have heard Yoo YoungJin do the adlibs and background vocals in that song as well. As a producer, Yoo YoungJin is often the one that creates the most iconic moments in SM's songs and performances. What you heard in "Hot Times," is the kind of vocal talent that Yoo YoungJin inspires. If you look up Yoo YoungJin, you would be surprised how many of SM's songs he has been involved in over the years, even still today. If you made a list, it would probably be easier to list the songs he didn't work on. LOL

This sounds like a Yoo YoungJin song. It’s full of power and soul, like all of his songs just about has that soulful sound to it and I just love it so much!

Oh, I hadn't watched this for a while. So great to watch it again, such fabulous vocals. (I really like the style of the MV too.) Did you know that when Kyuhun (of this SM Ballad group) was on The Masked Singer after Jonghyun's passing, he talked about his friendship with Jonghyun and sang a beautiful cover of Y Si Fuera Ella as a tribute to him? It never fails to move me when I see the connections he made with so many people in his industry.

Yes I remember seeing that once before, and I’m not gonna lie, I cried when kyuhun talked about Jonghyun’s passing and what he wanted to say to him. Seeing how he was close to tears when he was talking about Jonghyun really hit me and I really loved his cover of “Y Si Fuera Ella” as well. Jonghyun was loved by so many people in the industry, and so, to see someone from the same industry talking about him in such a beautiful way like that, really hits you in the heart.

Not gonna lie, I cried too. It does hit you in the heart, and also makes you (me, anyway) feel better even while I'm feeling sad; seeing much he was loved, by so many, is somehow a comfort.

I agree, seeing how much he was loved by so many people, does give a sense of comfort. I’ve never thought of it that way before, so thank you saying that. WOW! I learned something new. Yeah, it definitely gives me that kind of feeling also.

Although SM is a shady company, their idols and Artists really are like family toward each other. Also SM has recently started to do SMTOWN winter albums again, so maybe you can find other good songs. Of course Hot Times will always be in a category on it's own XD. This year I think they are gonna release a new album? not sure, but last they had one. You can look it up as 2021 Winter SMTOWN. In it there is a ballad with Kyuhyun, Onew and Taeil, called "Ordinary Day". Idk maybe you already heard it since Onew is in it

Ah! I might’ve seen it but it’s been a long time so I don’t quite remember even how the song goes, so I think I’ll look at it again definitely. And I’m really looking forward to a potential SMTOWN winter album, if not for this year, maybe 2023. I totally agree with you by the way, even though SM is… Well…SM lol, their artist do feel like a family. I always get that feeling from them, more than any other company.
