As mentioned by Alexander Johnny, I failed to speak of the Mbappé penalty incident, which reminds me that I also forgot to speak of the Lewandowski penalty shout in the 91st minute. In my opinion, the Mbappé incident should have been a pen as Kimmich went through his foot to get to the ball, just as Kehrer didn't get the ball when clumsily cutting across Lewandowski late in the game.

Honestly, all 3 of those were extremely questionable, and I'm glad that the match wasn't decided by any of them. Coman being held was, as you said, not something that would have resulted in a penalty a year or two ago, Kimmich clearly didn't intend to foul Mbappé and was just trying to put his foot back on the ground while running (he didn't get the ball and didn't attempt to, imho, with the foot that slightly grazed Mbappè's), and the foul on Lewandowski was also very light and didn't need to decide a match 2 minutes before the end of regulation that Bayern was already leading in.

Pranav I think the only real requirements were a possession based system that is defensively solid while being dangerous on offense. There are many ways to play like that. For example Tiki-Taka like in the pep days, or the Gegenpresse of Liverpool. Kovac knew he had to combine both and needed to come up with something but couldn’t. That‘s at least the impression I got from his interviews towards the end of his term at Bayern

I was saying this for a month amongst a friend group, the UCL was Bayern's competition lose. Best team in Europe by a country mile since January. I've heard people say they could dominate for 2-3 years but if you ask me? I could see that being 5 or 6 years if they keep their team together. You'd think that once Lewa leaves it could be a big blow for them but, if there's any team in the world you can trust to replace a player that important it's Bayern. Neymar's & Mbappes bad performance wasnt a coincedence. Bayern had over 60% ball possesion dominated the midfield and just let the PSG players run. Neymar and Mbappe didnt defend much but more than they normally do. And you saw that it took some of their energy. Apart from the 2 good missed chances, both of them almost created nothing

I have predicted before the match that Coman is going to start ahead of perisic because PSG players are fast and usually Davies try to go up in field but it will creat space behind him. By having Coman on his side Davies don’t need to go for high line. This made Davies struggle a bit in the beginning but later he adjusted in the game. A master stroke by Flick ❤️

I've never seen one team dominate UCL like Bayern this season. Next season they will be still favourites even though losing Thiago (I think they will keep Alaba), they have Sane and possibly new RB, CM and 4th Winger (Perisic leave). The only team that can hurt Bayern maybe Liverpool who press like crazy too ( it will be great match).

I would personally say that Thisgo Silva should have been Man Of The Match. Really sad to see him leave PSG without at least one Champions League trophy. He’s truly one of the greatest cb’s of his generation.
