Great wrap-up, Stuart. Just a note about Fable: they do make the first few chapters available, but it’s just meant to be a sample. After a few chapters, you have to buy the book, so you’ll want to hold on to your Libby copy. Love these Halloween woobles! So cute! I hope the bear cub found his mom! Hope you’re doing well, Stuart.

Thanks Pat. I guess I shouldn't have thought they offered it for free. Thanks. I hope that too. I am doing well. I hope you are too

"Clowns and Spiders" actually sounds pretty good, maybe I'll pick it up one day and give it a try. I liked "You Like It Darker" - I kind of enjoyed that the stories were about older people. My warranty is definitely on fumes! LOL! I LOVED "Part Time Indian"! Hope you do too! Happy reading!

If you do pick it up, I will be interested in what you think of it. I liked the stories about older people too. Even though they were a bit sobering. Happy reading

I'm actually kinda curious about Clowns VS Spiders because spiders don't scare me at all and clowns ALWAYS freak me out. Even just pictures of clowns. Great amount of reads!! How cool that you saw a baby bear!!

If you have Kindle Unlimited, you can borrow it for free. October was a great month for me. I was really happy to see the baby bear

How do you read so fast? Any tips? Coming from a slow reader 😂
@stuartgriffin100119 күн бұрын
One thing I try not to do is re-read very much. I mostly try to just read and accept that I may not get everything and that is okay. I used to re-read a lot of stuff. This really slowed me down. You read a lot of classics. I think classics frequently are slower reads because they use language of past generations. Some people like to skip sections with excessive descriptions that don't really add to the main plot. My aunt used to do this. I like to read every word so this isn't really an option for me. If the way you are reading leads to great enjoyment of the books you read, you may be reading at the right speed for you.

I'm about to launch into Lovecraft (sometime over the next month), & I'm a little nervous about it, so will follow your reflections on him carefully.

Lovecraft is definitely a special type of horror. I will be interested in what you think
