@cosmicboombox64 The loss of their performance branches has sucked, but Toyota is doing better with the GR cars even if we don't get them all in the U.S. People want to complain about cooperative manufacturing, but the reality is that these are still small market cars in the U.S. and it's expensive to develop a new performance oriented car. My problem with Hyundai is still finishing quality. Performance wise, it's a great car though.

Awesome! Definitely check out Motive Video’s series on their Yaris from Australia. I believe they got close to 500 hp out of that motor. So great potential and will be cool to see aftermarket support grow !

Speaking of engine mods, Motive Video has a quite an extensive videos regarding that. Their GR Yaris reached 450hp at some point. G Force, a tuning shop in Japan, developed a time attack GR Yaris and broke into the 56s with their 600hp G16E engine

My friend picked up a fwd Corolla sport this past Sept. It was as fully loaded as you can make it before stepping up to the GR. I asked him why he didn't go for the GR and he told me it was like a minimum 15k more and the wait time for allocation was absurd. He already had to wait just about a full year just for the one he custom ordered... Anyhow, he picked up Cusco strut & sway bars and some Motegi wheels with snow tires. That thing actually freaking rips and with the upgraded suspension it feels super tight and zippy. He even gets it to rotate like a rwd around corners. I think its rad.

I'm excited for the Corolla content. I just got a 22 hatch SE 6 speed a few months ago. I've done new wheels, front and side splitters, spoiler, and lowering it next.. mine is white also. I'd love to have the GR but that's outta my price range.. my hatch isn't fast, but it handles great. Super fun to drive.

Only thing that is a bit worrisome is that Corollas have never been a huge tuner chassis, so I’m wondering how many mods actually exist for the car. Outside of that, it seems like a fun little ripper. Maybe it can be a fun daily for Tiana to continue to learn driving stick. Interested to see where you take it, Dut!💯👌🏻

I love the GR Corolla, and I know a lot of people say the interior is not nice enough, but then again you gotta understand that it is a corolla, it is a souped-up economy hatch. Like you said all that R&D goes into the engineering of the engine and AWD system, which I personally would rather take over the fancy stitched leather dashboard and stuff. Also, I think the interior complaints mainly come from the vehicle being a core trim, the circuit has all the leather surfaces that people want. Then again this also starts at 35k, if you can even find it for that, so its a give-and-take situation.

Hey, when you take it to the track it might go into limp mode, reason is the rear diff overheats, only has 500ml of fluid, get a cusco diff cover, adds more fluid and some sort of cooling
