Not sure if you’re interested to know or if anyone has told you.. watching you do your lateral raises you can see that you’re engaging your traps. If you lean forward slightly while keeping a straight back you can keep your focus on your shoulders!

The fact that i just realized this 🤯😇!! Then i came across this video 🎯. My mindset shift about working out is all about the fact that it boosts my energy levels when i do it consistently (as opposed to thinking I'm doing it for calorie burning etc). It indirectly helps my weight loss though because if im energized then i can meal prep better/do everything i need to get done in my life to have "my shit together" lmao 💙💙💙

It makes sense now. I thought I burned as many calories as the machine suggested and I would eat all that back and I never understood why I don't lose more weight. Can you recommend a good online calculator to see how much is my maintenance calories? I eat around 1600 for 162 cm and 65 kg and I feel like it's too much

how can you eat so little. ? 1600 is like to little child. I am only 156cm and eat around 2000-2500 kcal per day just to maintain my weight.

@@YokoFuongAnh when I eat more than 2000 on an extended period, I always gain weight, so I'm guessing that's over my maintenance. Even though I do weight lifting I have only 29% muscle and over 33% body fat :(

The best calculator is YOURSELF! :) Eat whole plant foods until you feel satisfied, comfortably full and energized. Don't stress about numbers

@@YokoFuongAnh Everyones different. 1600 might be too little for you but it might be someone else maintenance or even their surplus. Csnt compare to others

When you get to my age, exercise is crucial to keep bone density. I totally agree that working out doesn’t do much in weight loss. I was injured and had to stop exercising for a couple months and I freaked out that I would gain weight, but I actually lost weight. I also exercise because I love to swear, it helps with your complexion and and I feel more energetic. Although I’m slim I don’t think it does all that much for my weight.

Exactly! Essential for health, but not for weight loss :)

What time of day do you exercise? I work remote, so I usually go midday or evening... but for some reason I have shame over not doing it first thing in the AM lol
