Great book on Ukraine's history is by Yaroslav Hrytsak "Ukriane: The Forging of a Nation".

Yaroslavs books are like 3 volumes long, right? The book I read cited him a lot.

@@IdeasInHat I believe it's just one. He might have written other books but I only know of this one. It was recommended by a Ukraine-Russia war journalist.

“Chernobyl: History of a Tragedy”, also by Serhii Plokhy - Got it last Christmas after revisiting the HBO series. Part of what I like is that it goes beyond merely laying out the facts and tries to make some sense of the political & psycho-social dynamics underlying the catastrophe. Good stuff.

I have it. Didn't realize that was also his. Lol. Haven't read it, but bought it 4 years ago.

Brother. What advice would you give to someone who is constantly bored and dissatisfied with life? :(
@IdeasInHat5 ай бұрын
Well, boredom isn't always a bad thing. I often find myself bored after working for 8 or 12 hours. I agree with Bertrand Russell on this, the modern person is too fixated on pleasure and entertainment. Boredom shouldn't be avoided.
