if the idea is to build an income stream to use as complement for retirement, or at any given point if needed, then building a dividend growth portfolio always buying adding to it could be a good and peaceful path. On the long run consistency and perseverance could guaranty the desired income stream goal with little worries

the idea is to Look for stocks that have paid steady, increasing dividends for years (or decades), and have not cut their dividends even during recessions.

During recessions, assets often undervalue. By investing wisely in stocks, real estate, or businesses during this downturn, you position yourself for significant returns during the economic recovery.

An obvious way to invest for a recession is to buy shares in businesses that are likely to experience steady demand even in a downturn. Typically, those are consumers staple, utilities and healthcare companies. But of course, such decisions can’t be made by an average joe, a financial advisor is highly recommended in making this decisions..

Since the outbreak of 2020, which had a significant impact on the market, I've been running all of my investment decisions through an investment coach because their entire philosophy is centered around using a high-profit oriented blueprint while simultaneously going long and short, as well as reducing risk exposure as a hedge against inevitable downtrends. A strategy to protect against inflation is through the U.S stock market, especially the S&P500 & various ETFs. Investors must know where to put their money and how to distribute it in order to protect it against inflation while still making a profit, especially during a recession.

This recession is most likely the result of an external factor. For the first time in decades, the United States is losing its clout as a federal reserve currency. They don't have any more economies to use to control inflation, and less money is being spent on stock and oil trading than in the past. They all lend support to the idea that a new multilateral world order is in the works.

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

Good stuff! Markets rally when the Fed pauses(like now) and the fed normally pauses for about 1-2 years then they start the FFR cuts, and this is when the market starts to crap out. The pause started in July and the "experts" say cuts to start in late Q1 to Q2 2024 which says market should start its crap out in the spring/summer timeframe.... The Fed will win - this means a slower economy and higher unemployment. Not Armageddon just a better entry point ahead.

When considering the risk/reward of investment securities, remember to factor in the risk posed by recent changes in the bankruptcy laws. Investors no longer have property rights to their assets held a custodians or encumbered by a loan. They have what's known as "security entitlements", which come AFTER the recovery rights of mega-investors who have used your assets (without your permission) as collateral for derivatives trading. If the custodian goes belly up, you're not likely to recover anything at all. Why? Because you're not part of the "privileged class".

ESG is dying both Blackrock and Wall Street have admitted this. WHY? Because shareholders are fighting back charging the directors of failing their fiduciary duties. It appears they may be winning the legal argument. Yes, responsible investment is necessary (obligatory) example Lithium in Congo and elsewhere.

I think investors are disconnected from the reality of the economy. Long term growth has always been dependent upon growing energy supply. Energy supply peaked ~2008. No plan can beat the energy recession.

FFR cuts cause recessions? Or is it the FED doing "quantitative easing" (printing money and lowering interest rates) BECAUSE a recession is ALREADY occuring? I think the latter is true and the former is bogus. And what about the fact that (according to his chart at 18:52) before all the recessions, the FFR has been raised? Can't one just as easily argue that raising the rates is what caused the recession, with a lag effect? God it's impossible to find the truth.

Oh yeah, you are ignoring the B.I.G. change. You don't believe in it. You miss it because it is under your nose. It is too simple, it is too big to see. You are not seeing the wind of change. Open your eyes. What are you actively neglecting ? What's around, what is this guy talking about and at the same time, totally neglecting? Listen carefully!

How might the stock market and bond market react to something seriously happening in the Middle East? (such as Israel going rogue and the US having to fight Israel to remove Netanyahu or Iran or Russia going in there to get rid of him?) Why?

Global coal consumption has dipped from all-time highs, twice, and the forecast is for usage to plateau and then gradually fall off, as even emerging markets start to realize that energy production is cheaper using other alternatives. The reason the price of lithium dropped precipitiously is because of the advent of the sodium ion battery, which will take the place of lithium in many use cases. Another wrinkle you are either ignoring, or are simply ignorant of, is how lithium iron-phosphate has replaced lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC) in many applications. This means the demand for lithium will be diminished by sodium ion batteries, and the demand for NMC will drop even further, as newer chemistries are adopted for various socioeconomic reasons.

This is the main reason I’m finding it hard to trust people who advocate buying Gold at the moment. Silver looks like a much better investment from a buy low sell high perspective

I agree that some commodities that the developed countries trying to get rid of will still be in demand by underdeveloped countries and that they will appreciate in value in some degree. But, I disagree with your interpretation with the chart. Scrap those spikes and plummets around the COVID era, and it can easily be seen that the values of those commodities are regular and even high for some. Also, there is the recession that will come for all in 2024. Besides that you are again right about the best thing to do right now; watching for opportunities and creating watchlists. For me for example, the high price of Nvidia and especially Royal Caribbeans very intriguing.
